Israel has strict gun laws and guns are not common among civilians

Israel rejects NRA’s claims concerning guns laws

“Israel’s policy on issuing guns is restrictive, and armed guards at its schools are meant to stop terrorists, not crazed or disgruntled gunmen, experts id Monday, rejecting claims by America’s top gun lobby that Israel serves as proof for its philosophy that the US needs more weapons, not fewer.

“Far from the image of a heavily armed population where ordinary people have their own arsenals to repel attackers, Israel allows its people to acquire firearms only if they can prove their professions or places of residence put them in danger. The country relies on its security services, not armed citizens, to prevent terror attacks.”

“Israel never had “a whole lot of school shootings.” Authorities could only recall two in the past four decades.”

“Because it is aimed at preventing terror attacks, Israel’s school security system is part of a multi-layered defense strategy that focuses on prevention and doesn’t depend on a guy at a gate with a gun.”

“Gun lobbyists who might think Israel hands out guns freely to keep its citizens safe might be less enamored of Israel’s actual gun laws, which are much stricter than those in the US. For one thing, notes Yakov Amit, head of the firearms licensing department at the Ministry of Public Security, Israeli law does not guarantee the right to bear arms as the US Constitution does.”

“Gun licensing to private citizens is limited largely to people who are deemed to need a firearm because they work or live in dangerous areas, Amit said. West Bank settlers, for instance, can apply for weapons licenses, as can residents of communities on the borders with Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Licensing requires multiple levels of screening, and permits must be renewed every three years. Renewal is not automatic.”

“The gap between Israeli gun ownership and US gun ownership is consequently staggering. A total of 170,000 guns are licensed for private use in Israel, or about one gun for every 30 adults.”

“By contrast, US authorities estimate that at least one-third of all American households have firearms — and in many cases, not only one.”

“Eighty percent of the 10,000 people who apply yearly for licenses are turned down, he said. In the US, people can purchase firearms from private dealers without a background check or a license of any kind.”

“In Israel, applicants must undergo police screening and medical exams, in part to determine their mental state, Amit said.”

“Anybody who possesses a legally acquired gun waives the right to confidentiality, and authorities cross-reference for new information about the gunholder every three months.”

Det är inte bara Gina Dirawi som uttrycker sig i antisemitisk anda och med oproportionerlig Israelkritik (se bloggartikel här) utan även “Blondinbella” Isabella Löwengrip visar hur lite hon förstår den långa konflikten i Mellanöstern. Hon skriver om Israel och Palestina som om de båda vore länder, men så är inte fallet eftersom Palestina aldrig varit ett land. Synd att inte hennes första kille förklarade grunden för henne, och att Israeler inte “massakrerar barn” som hon uttrycker sig. Däremot har tyvärr barn dött av israelers kulor i exempelvis Gaza, och det är kanske inte så konstigt eftersom Hamas har en dålig ovana att gömma sina raketskjutande och attackerande gubbar bland vanliga Gazabor, vilket alltså får till följd att oskyldiga drabbas om israeler besvarar anfallen. Jag har också läst ut ”Morgon i Jenin” och gråtit floder och tyckt att livet är orättvist. Min tidigare bild av Israel och Palestina har tyvärr varit lite färgad då jag gick i en skola med judiska klasser samt min första kille var judisk (och många var väldigt pro-israel). Då har jag alltid fått höra Israels version och kanske inte alltid lyssnat på den andra. Det är på senare år som jag förstår vilket jäkla monster Israel har varit. Massakrerar barn och oskyldiga. Hur tycker ni att skolan idag lär ut om Palestina Israel-konflikten? Är den objektiv? En av anledningarna till att jag lämnade MUF var att dåvarande ordförande kritiserade Ship To Gaza vilket jag blev rasande över. Hur som helst läs Morgon i Jenin, bra bok.

Nej jag tycker INTE att skolan lär ut konflikten objektivt, och framför allt inte media. Den ensidiga skildringen till Israels nackdel får till följd att personer som Isabella anammar det som sägs och faktiskt tror på den bild som målas upp av Israel som ett monster. Det är ju det man ständigt får höra. Men man måste fråga sig om israeler sätter upp stängsel, murar och väghinder för att det är roligt och inte för att det kan finnas skäl – såsom att försvara sina invånare som utgör både israeler och araber? Varför “Ship to Gaza?” Material och mat kan komma in på bättre vägar (vilket också görs) och som förhindrar att otillåtna vapen förs in där de inte ska. Läs från Siewert Öholm i Världen idag.

Frihetsflottan, Solidaritetskonvojen, Hjälp-konvojen är bara några av de positivt värdeladdade ord som notoriska israelhatare från Sverige och från många andra länder använder för att rättfärdiga den andra Ship to Gaza-aktionen. De tar till de erkända finorden , men bara för att skönmåla en provokation mot staten Israels rätt att existera och dess självklara rätt att försvara sig. “Hycklerikonvojen” är det enda rätta namnet för den så kallade flotta som med ett 20 tal båtar skall göra om ett spekulativt intrång inom israelisk försvarszon utanför Gazas kust. Avseglingen har försenats efter vädjanden både från FN och Turkiet att avstå. Kanske kommer till sist seglatsen att starta den här veckan.

De svenskar som deltar gör det fullt medvetna om att de samarbetar med terrororganisationer och militanta islamister som i grunden vill utplåna staten Israel. Där finns personer redan kända för sitt antiisraelengagemang som Mattias Gardell, Dror Feiler och Henry Ascher. Det två sista ger som etniska judar en påstådd men falsk fredslegitimitet åt flottiljens svenska del. Fler vänsterpersoner långt ut på kommunistkanten deltar, som Kalle Larsson, medlem i Vänsterpartiets partistyrelse, liksom nuvarande V-riksdagsledamoten Torbjörn Björlund. Den historiska ensidigheten i palestinafrågan hos Miljöpartiet visar sig i engagemanget från riksdagsledamoten Jabar Amin, som resenär, men med starkt stöd av sitt språkrör Gustaf Fridolin.

Att sedan Henning Mankel, Barnmorske-för-bundet med sin Anna Nordfjell och Sjuk-sköterske-för-bundet med Åsa Andersson finns ombord är mest tragisk opportunism. Att den gamle Broder-skaps-orföranden Evert Svensson som länge bara sett med ena ögat i den Israeliska verkligheten deltar är inte oväntat. Kyrkans tidning, liksom några filmare och dramatiker kamoflerar sitt deltagarskap med beteckningen Medierepresentanter. Representant för vem och vilka medier då, undrar man?
Det är naturligtvis så att deltagarlistan också avslöjar det syfte konvojresenärarena har. Den “arabiska våren” har dramatiskt avslöjat verkligheten i länder där demokrati och mänskliga rättigheter trampats under fötterna. Ofta har det skett i religionens namn. Hamasregimen i Gaza är inget undantag. Den stöds och beväpnas dessutom av den djupt antisemitiska våldsregimen i Iran. Man behöver inte upprepa alla de demokratiska fri- och rättigheter som militant islamism förvägrat sina länders medborgare.

Det obegripliga är bara att just de här båtpassagerarna inget sett eller velat se. Inget förstått eller velat förstå. “Ship to Libyen” vore ärligare. Men den här båtsolidariteten tycks inte ens se Libyens frihetskamp. Den vill inte heller höra gevärsskotten i Syrien som redan dödat tusentals arabiska bröder.
Ship to Gaza-folket lider av politisk afasi i alla frågor som handlar om Israel och Israels demokrati. Det är den demokratin Israel har rätt och skyldighet att försvara. Lösningen är inte en “Hycklerikonvoj”. Lösningen är att palestinier och arabiska grannländer slutar föra missilkrig och erkänner staten Israel. Då börjar freden.

Sen tvivlar jag starkt på att “Morgon i Jenin” är objektiv. (Jag har inte läst den men tvivla får man ju göra.) Framför allt tänker jag på den överdrivna rapporten om massaker i Jenin (från anti-israelisk sida förstås) som aldrig hände i den staden. Att människor dog är förstås sant, och det gäller för båda sidor.

Varför ville Gud att profeten Hosea skulle gifta sig med en sköka? (Hos.1:2)

Det här kan vi läsa i Hosea 1 – i några olika översättningar – om den uppmaning profeten Hosea fick av Gud att gifta sig med en sköka.

Hos. 1:1 Herrens ord som kom till Hosea, Beeris son, när Ussia, Jotam, Ahas och Hiskia var kungar i Juda, och Jerobeam, Joas son, var kung i Israel.²Detta är början av Herrens ord genom Hosea. Herren sade till honom: “Gå och skaffa dig en sköka till hustru och skaffa dig barn till en sköka, ty landet har bedrivit hor genom att överge Herren.”³Då gick han bort och tog Gomer, Diblajims dotter, till hustru och hon blev havande och födde en son åt honom. Hos. 1:²När HERREN först begynte tala genom Hosea, sade HERREN till honom: »Gå åstad och skaffa dig en trolös hustru och barn — av en trolös moder; ty i trolös avfällighet löper landet bort ifrån HERREN (1917)

Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. (KJV)

Ord för ord står det översatt från Hebreiska till engelska “for of harlotry and children of harlotry A wife take and bore conceived of Diblam the daughter of Gomer”.

Det verkar alltså som att profeten Hosea blir ombedd att ta sig en sköka till fru och att även skaffa en familj med henne. Men är det inte ett påbud att det är en synd för en israel att gifta sig med en kvinna från en ogudaktig fiendesläkt som filistéerna? Visserligen är förbudet för ett sådant giftermål i 5 Mos. 7:3 kopplat till israelernas intåg i Kanaans land, ihop med en rad andra instruktioner, men är inte sådana unioner förbjudna även under en lång tid efteråt? Och att en gudsman gifter sig med en sköka är väl ett konstigt påbud i sig?

Var Hoseas tilltänkta fru en sköka redan vid giftermålet, eller var det så att Gud helt enkelt bad Hosea att gifta sig med en kvinna från en ökänd kult/ökänt område och som därför räknades som en av de lösaktiga människor som bodde där, och/eller siades att bli en sköka precis som kvinnorna runt omkring? Påbudet från Gud till Hosea är att han ska ta en fru av “whoredoms” och barn av “whoredoms”, men barn kan ju inte vara horor – och framför allt kan man inte säga att Hoseas tilltänkta barn skulle bli horor eftersom de ännu inte existerade. Det låter i stället som det är själva “tillhörigheten” som Gud syftar på. Gud bad Hosea att gifta sig med en kvinna från ett släkte som har “whoredom” som tillhörighet och kännetecke. Kanske kvinnan i sig ännu inte gjort sig skyldig till synd men kallas ändå “a wife of whoredoms” pga hennes tillhörighet.

Men hur löser vi det problemet att Hosea inte borde gifta sig med någon filisteiska överhuvudtaget? Jo, GUD kan förstås stå över sina egna bud. Buden som han gett oss är till för oss människor och inte för honom själv. Vidare behöver Gud inga skrivna bud eftersom han inte kan avvika från sin egen natur och synda. Gud är helt igenom god och frestar heller inte någon eller orsakar så att någon syndar. Guds bud är till för oss att hålla men om han själv skulle göra erbjuda undantag för någon av oss människor så får han förstås göra det och då är det inte en synd det handlar om. Synd är ju när man går EMOT Guds bud och inte när man agerar helt enligt hans vilja. Att Gud här gjorde ett exceptionellt undantag från förbudet för israeler att gifta sig med filistéer betyder förstås inte att Gud tänjer på sina gränser hur som helst för vem som helst. Skulle vi människor få idén att ge oss själva utrymme för att göra avsteg från Guds bud så är det ju helt klart en SYND. VI får t ex inte ta på oss rättigheten att utsläcka någons liv (mörda) men GUD får eliminera vem han vill från vår planet när han vill. (Alla kommer dessutom någon gång att dö hur som helst.) Det händer emellanåt att människor PÅSTÅR att deras Gud ger dem tillåtelse att agera omoraliskt, men det betyder inte att det verkligen förhåller sig så. På domedagen blir det verkligen synd om de människor som beskyller Gud för sina synder.

Vi kan läsa skälet till att Gud vid det här speciella tillfället ville göra avsteg från regeln att israeler inte får gifta sig med filistéer. Det handlar om att på ett profetiskt sätt ge en bild av att Israel bedrivit hor och övergett Herren. Även Hoseas barn fick namn som speglar profetior, och vi kan läsa hur Israels båge i Jisreels dal ska brytas och att Gud inte ska ge förbarmande för Israel men däremot för Juda hus. Gud använder även sitt gudomliga namn i det här kapitlet:

Hos. 1:9. Då sade han “Ge honom namnet Lo-Ammi, ty ni är inte mitt folk och jag är inte Jag Är för er.”

Ibland kan vi tvingas att välja bland Guds bud. Exempelvis är det tänkt att vi ska ära våra föräldrar och vara lydiga barn som växer upp och tar hand om dem, och det är även tänkt att vi ska lyda lagarna i det land vi bor i (ge Kejsaren det som tillkommer honom, osv) men vad gör vi om vi uppmanas av föräldrar och/eller politiker att tillbe andra gudar och agera omoraliskt? Då måste vi välja det viktigaste av Guds bud och se till att vi håller oss till det dubbla kärleksbudet som inkluderar tio Guds bud.

Andra exempel

Vid några ytterst unika tillfällen så har Gud brutit in och gjort det legitimt för en människa att göra undantag vad gäller några av hans bud. Jag tänker på Abraham och hans plan att döda sin oskyldiga son för att GUD bad honom om det. Visserligen levde Abraham innan Mose lag kom till men det var fortfarande förbjudet att mörda. (Varför skulle annars Kain vara skyldig till synd för att ha mördat sin oskyldiga bror?) Att mörda var och ÄR alltid förbjudet. Men Gud står som sagt över sina egna lagar. Trots att mord inte var tillåtet, och speciellt inte när det gäller oskyldiga människor, så bad Gud Abraham att döda sin ende son, och Gud stoppade förstås Abraham och tänkte aldrig låta honom fullfölja dödandet. Men uppmaningen att faktiskt gå emot ett bud fanns ändå där och Abraham visste att det var rätt att lyda Gud över allting annat. Han var på det klara med att det var Gud som uppmaningen kom ifrån och inte honom själv. Abraham hade t o m haft Gudsbesök vid sitt tält ett antal år tidigare, och haft många påtagliga möten med Gud så han kände honom väl. Det är inte många av oss som kan “skryta” med liknande möten, och ingen kan heller ursäkta några inbillade tilltal från Gud med att de “upplevde” att Gud bad dem att göra/säga diverse saker. En dag ska det som sagt uppenbaras vem som faktiskt bara hittade på.

Sen har vi exemplet vad gäller Simson.

Domarboken 14:1 Simson gick ner till Timna, och där fick han se en kvinna, en av filisteernas döttrar. ²När han kom tillbaka sade han till sin far och mor: “Jag har sett en kvinna i Timna, en av filisteernas döttrar. Hämta henne åt mig till hustru .” ³Hans far och mor sade till honom: “Finns det då ingen kvinna bland dina bröders döttrar och i hela mitt folk, eftersom du vill gå bort och ta dig en hustru från de oomskurna filisteerna?” Simson sade till sin far: “Ge mig henne, för hon är den rätta i mina ögon.” ⁴Men hans far och mor visste inte att detta kom från Herren, som sökte en anledning till strid med filisteerna. På den tiden härskade nämligen filisteerna över Israel.— ⁷När han kom dit ner talade han med kvinnan, och hon var den rätta i Simsons ögon.

Judges 14:⁴But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel (KJV)

Någonting här är uppenbarligen något som “kom från Herren”. Frågan är exakt vad. En teori är att Gud helt enkelt kan ha sett i Simsons hjärta att han är den typen av person som raskt skulle välja att gifta sig även med en olovlig kvinna om bara tillfälle skulle ges. Kan mötet mellan Simson och kvinnan ha varit ett test från Gud till Simson, och som även skulle kunna tillföra något gott i slutänden? Gud behövde bara arrangera mötet och om det handlar om ett test så klarade uppenbarligen Simson inte det testet. Han valde att gifta sig med en filisteisk kvinna, och det var ett val som Gud räknade med och som han drog nytta utav. Alternativt så var det helt enkelt Guds syfte att Simson skulle gifta sig med en filisteisk kvinna från första början (just för att han hade långsiktiga planer med en sådan union) och Gud står som sagt över sina egna lagar. Man kanske kan dra en lite jämförelse med Judas som förrådde Jesus, och som Gud visste att han skulle göra. Många stod på tur för att döda Jesus men Gud Fader beskyddade Jesus tills en dag när han tog bort handen. Ingen tvingade Judas att förråda Jesus och det han gjorde var en SYND och helt emot Guds vilja, men det som hände kunde alltså vändas till något bra. Visserligen var ursprungsidén att Jesus skulle dö för människornas synder men det finns många sätt att åstadkomma det och Judas förräderi var inte alls nödvändigt.

Notera dock att Gud inte ALLTID använder människors dåliga val och synder till något gott. Vid några YTTERST unika tillfällen så har Gud dragit nytta av människors val och åstadkommit något positivt (t ex ett välförtjänt straff) men det betyder ingalunda att han alltid gör det. Varje dag finns det människor som agerar helt emot Guds vilja.

Vem gör människan stum, döv, seende eller blind? Herren? (2 Mose. 4:11)

Låt oss läsa 2 Mos. 4:11 i sitt sammanhang för att undvika missförstånd. Ovan vers handlar om Mose som argumenterar med Gud att han (Mose) inte skulle vara lämplig som Israels ledare pga sin tröga tunga – eller ska vi kalla det blyghet?

2 Mos. 4:⁶Herren sade ytterligare till honom: “Stick in handen i barmen!” Han gjorde så, och när han drog ut handen, se, då var den vit som snö av spetälska.⁷Sedan sade Gud: “Stick tillbaka handen i barmen!” Mose gjorde så, och när han drog ut den igen, se, då var den på nytt som hans övriga kropp. ⁸Och Herren sade: “Om de inte tror dig eller ger akt på det första tecknet, så måste de tro på det andra tecknet. ⁹Men om de inte ens tror på dessa två tecken eller lyssnar till dina ord, tag då av Nilens vatten och häll ut det på torra marken. Vattnet som du tagit ur floden skall då förvandlas till blod på torra marken.”

Gud ämnar alltså att ge Mose ett ganska bra äss i ärmen genom att möjliggöra att MIRAKEL ska kunna ske från hans (Moses) händer! Gud visade även prov på dessa mirakel för att verkligen få Mose att förstå att det fungerar i verkligheten och inte bara är en skrivbordsprodukt. Det intressanta är att Gud uttrycker sig som att utgången för hur människor kommer att tolka dessa mirakel är oviss och det verkar inte som han själv ens är säker på den exakta utgången eftersom han säger “Om de inte tror dig eller ger akt på det första tecknet—“, “Men om de inte ens tror på dessa två tecken...”. Det finns alltså ett par olika alternativ som skulle kunna vara möjliga och Gud säger inte åt Mose just i det här stadiet exakt vad som kommer att ske. (Vid många andra tillfällen så säger Gud med exakthet vad som kommer att ske i framtiden.) Gud undervisar Mose även om ytterligare mirakel som kan utföras för att försöka övertala människorna. Då invänder Mose:

¹⁰—“Men Herre, jag är ingen talför man. Jag har inte varit det tidigare, och jag är det inte heller nu sedan du har talat till din tjänare. Jag är trög att tala och har en trög tunga.”

Som svar använder Gud då Moses egna exempel – trög att tala och med en trög tunga – tillbaka till honom själv. På svenska låter det som att Gud är den som med flit gör en människa stum eller döv. Läser vi texten på engelska är poängen i stället att Gud gör alla människor – inklusive de människor som är döva och stumma. Inte att han avsiktligt GÖR dem döva eller stumma.

¹¹Herren sade till honom: “Vem har givit människan munnen och vem gör henne stum eller döv, seende eller blind? Är det inte jag, Herren? ¹²Gå nu! Jag skall vara med din mun och lära dig vad du skall säga.”

¹¹And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? (KJV)

Eftersom det inte kan vara en individs fel att bli född döv eller stum, och ingen annan individs fel heller för den delen, så måste det faktum att människor KAN födas med dessa handikapp härledas till Gud själv. Därmed inte sagt att Gud VILL att människor ska födas på det sättet. Han är bara orsaken till att världen är uppbyggd som den är och att risken för sjukdomar finns i en fallen värld. Gud ville heller inte att världen skulle vara fallen, och inte att Adam och Eva skulle synda och orsaka fysisk död för sina efterkommande, men han visste såklart att risken för olydnad fanns och därmed att det fanns risk för DÖD. Så fungerar helt enkelt en värld med fri vilja, och alla andra skapelsealternativ skulle bara vara sämre. Gud gjorde som bekant något åt situationen när han lät sin enfödde son dö för våra synder, och tack och lov behöver vi inte leva i evighet på den här fallna jorden. En fördel med “eländes elände” kan vara att människor har en tendens att söka Gud på ett mer intensivt sätt än om de skulle leva i ständig komfort. Det har vi många exempel på även i Bibeln. Däremot inte sagt att sjukdomar och död absolut måste vara enligt Guds vilja för det finns en rad svårigheter som aldrig i livet skulle kunna ingå i Guds planer. Skulle 37.000 aborter per år i Sverige vara enligt Guds vilja? Det har jag svårt att tro. Hur som helst så vill Gud i det här bibelavsnittet bara förklara för Mose – genom att återanvända Moses egna argument och ordval – att argumenten faktiskt var ganska dåliga med tanke på att Moses samtalspartner faktiskt är GUD SJÄLV som är alltings skapare och faktiskt känner till allas begränsningar och möjligheter. Tänk om Gud skulle svara:

“Jamen, det har du ju alldeles rätt i, Mose. Du har ju faktiskt en väldigt trög tunga så hur skulle du kunna vara Israels ledare? Att du inte har talang som en stor talare är ju faktiskt helt omöjligt att göra något åt. Du är ju född så och ingen kan någonsin ändra på hur du fungerar i din natur. Såsom man är född är precis så man måste förbli”.

I stället säger Gud “GÅ NU” efter att ha förklarat att han faktiskt är Gud över allt och därför har han kapacitet att också ändra på sakernas bestånd. Men trots de mirakel som Mose fått se så litar han fortfarande inte på sin egen kapacitet, trots löftena från Gud:

¹³Men Mose sade: “Herre, jag ber dig: Sänd ditt budskap med vilken annan du vill.” ¹⁴Då upptändes Herrens vrede mot Mose och han sade: “Har du inte din bror Aron, leviten? Jag vet att han är en man som kan tala. Och se, han är på väg för att möta dig, och när han får se dig skall han känna glädje i sitt hjärta. ¹⁵Du skall tala till honom och lägga orden i hans mun. Och jag skall vara med din mun och hans mun, och jag skall lära er vad ni skall göra. ¹⁶Han skall tala i ditt ställe till folket. Han skall vara som en mun för dig, och du skall vara som Gud för honom. ¹⁷Du skall ta den här staven i handen, och med den skall du göra dina tecken.”

Jag vill inte gärna tro att Gud är arg på Mose p g a hans frågor om hur i all sin dar han (Mose) ska kunna vara en bra ledare med den tunghäftan som han lider av. Det kan väl aldrig vara fel att uttrycka sina farhågor och be om hjälp avGud när man känner att man kommer till korta? Det är ju därför vi BER ibland. I stället tror jag att Gud är vred på Mose för att han helt enkelt går emot Guds planer och faktiskt vill avsäga sig hela uppdraget TROTS att Gud visat honom att han kommer att vara med honom på ett helt fantastiskt sätt där MIRAKEL kan ske från hans händer, och trots att Gud ber Mose att helt enkelt lyda honom och lita på honom. Varför säga nej till Skaparen? Det låter som Gud redan hade allting uträknat redan innan Mose knorrade. Det verkar nämligen som Gud hade Aron i baktankarna redan från första början så Mose hade inte behövt tveka över uppdraget och spjärna emot. Gud gav inte Mose uppdrag som han inte skulle kunna klara av på ett eller annat sätt. I det här fallet så verkar inte Gud vara motiverad att ändra på Moses natur och göra honom till en pratglad och social person, utan han lät Aron vara den som fick prata i Moses ställe.

Den här situationen är faktiskt något som vi kan ta lärdom av idag på olika sätt. Det kan absolut vara så att vi inte passar för allehanda uppdrag och funktioner pga att vi inte har personligheter för det, men om det är Guds vilja så kan han lösa det på sätt som inte handlar om att hela vår personlighet måste ändras. Vi är helt enkelt olika till sättet och bra på vissa saker och dåliga på andra, men om något är Guds vilja så finns det sätt att komma runt det som vi kanske inte tänkt på. Det är hur som helst bra att vi nämner våra funderingar och eventuella farhågor inför Gud, men inte att göra som Mose – som direkt ville kasta in handduken inför uppdraget – utan att höra vidare om Gud faktiskt hade några konkreta planer för hur hela uppdraget skulle lyckas. Hade Moses lugnat sig lite så kanske han hade fått höra att hans bror redan var på väg till honom och att de två skulle bli ett kanonbra team tillsammans.

Gina Dirawi sprider antisemitism

Gina Dirawi har uppenbarligen inte lärt sig något av den reprimand som hon fick av SVT 2010 när hon bl. a skrev under rubriken “Israel tar efter Hitler” att: “Den israeliska regeringen gör samma sak som Hitler gjorde mot deras folk fast med andra medel. De är rasister, de förtrycker, och de mördar folk som inte är som dem!”

Kanske hon blandade ihop Israel med Hamas eller Hizbollah?

Ett av antisemitismens signum är att ofta göra ett likställande mellan nazismen under Hitler och judiska Israels behandling av palestinierna. Nu ger Gina oss ett tips på sänglitteratur, nämligen den ökende antisemitistens Lasse Wilhelmsons bok “Är världen upp och ner”.

Journalister på Sveriges Radio har hävdat att Wilhelmson stöds av ett nätverk av en grupp från extremhögern och ett antal radikala muslimer. Han har även sagt att den officiella historieskrivningen från mitten av 1800-talet är “tillrättalagd” och utelämnar judarnas roll. Han menar att judarna ligger bakom “så gott som alla” av samhällets förändringsprocesser under denna tid, bland annat på grund av sina höga positioner inom “ekonomin och ideologiproduktionen”. Se wikipedia, och även Jonathan Lemans blogginlägg här där vi bl. a kan läsa att “Lasse Wilhelmson festar med den internationellt uppmärksammade antisemiten Jöran Jermas/Adam Ermash/Israel Shamir och bidrar med material på hans hemsida. Han har även försvarat Ahmed Rami och dennes hatpropaganda på siten Radio Islam där Wilhelmson själv även medverkar som skribent”.

Gina skriver så “hjärtskärande” på sin blogg:

Orkar inte läsa om det,orkar inte klumpen i magen,orkar inte se fler barn dö, orkar inte tänka att dessa barn mötte samma öde som min morbror och andra släktingar. En annan sak som slår mig är att det kunde varit jag. Hade inte mina far och morföräldrar tvingats lämna Palestina,så hade det varit jag som levt deras liv. Det är inte bara mitt ansvar att ta upp frågan,det är allas. Våra medmänniskor dör,familjer slaktas,folk lever i skräck,och för vad? För lite mark? För makt? För heder? Om de brydde sig om sitt folk,så skulle de inte göra såhär. I ett krig finns inga vinnare,bara förlorare. Bara rädsla,skräck,osäkerhet och blod. Inget positivt. Jag har levt med engagemanget sen barnsben,hört om hatet från båda sidor,men vart har hatet lett oss? Har något positivt hänt? Vi måste släppa hatet som infekterar våra kroppar och sinnen och förstå att människoliv och mänskliga rättigheter är viktigare än vilken sida som har rätt och fel. För i slutändan har båda haft rätt enligt deras premisser,och båda fel enligt deras premisser. Det finns ingen utväg än att se människor som människor ge alla de mänskliga rättigheterna de förtjänar. I krig vinner ingen,ingen.

Krig börjar ofta pga hat så ett bra tips för oss alla är att sluta sprida hatpropaganda. Då drar vi något litet strå till stacken, men som det är nu bidrar Gina till att slita bort strån från Israel-Palestina-stacken. Det är möjligt att hon kanske inte ens inser vad det är hon faktiskt skriver och hur mycket hon som en känd person tyvärr riskerar att påverka andra till det sämre – för hon kanske blivit så starkt påverkad själv av den här typen av tankegångar att det blivit en del av henne själv. Hon säger själv att hon levt med “engagemanget” sedan barnsben, så det kanske finns en orsak redan där… Sen hoppas jag vidare att hon ömmar lika mycket för döende barn på den israeliska sidan som på den andra sidan gränsen.

Med evakueringen av Gazaremsan visade Israel sin fredsvilja och beredskap till ännu fler uppoffringar för en fred på marken (tidigare har de bl a överlämnat Sinai till Egypten) även om resultatet blev missilregn och terror från Hamas som tog över Gazaremsan. Israel hade inte något krav under kriget att att araber måste fly landet – förutom i slutskedet där det på vissa platser rådde sådan risk för fara att bosättare rekommenderades att fly. De som valde att stanna kvar blev fullvärdiga invånare i landet Israel, med samma demokratiska rättigheter som alla andra (däremot behövde inte araber få med i den israeliska armén). Tyvärr kan man inte göra en likartad beskrivning av arabländerna runtomkring. Många tänker inte heller på att lika många judar som var boende i arabländerna, som de araber som lämnade Israel, var tvungna att lämna sina hem pga situationen i sina hemländer, och i många fall så dödades de helt enkelt. De flesta flyttade till Israel där landet tog hand om dem trots att de vara många till antalet. Konstigt nog kunde inte (eller ville inte) arabländerna som är stora och flera till antalet inte ta hand om sina arabbröder som var boende i Palestina trots att de jämförelsevis inte var särskilt många (idag är de givetvis många fler). Man kan även få en bid av judarnas situation i arabländer genom att jämföra antal judar som bor i arabländerna idag jämfört med för 50 år sedan. Antalet har minskat avsevärt, och på vissa håll finns inte längre några judiska kolonier i dessa länder.

Vidare måste man fundera på hur vi i Sverige skulle hanterat situationen om vi ständigt skulle blivit beskjutna och hotade av våra grannländer. Murar och stängsel gillas inte, intensiva gränsövervakningar gillas inte och framför allt inte att försvara sig genom att skjuta tillbaka. Jag har inga bra lösningar på problemet och kan bara uppskatta att jag bor i ett demokratiskt land och att grannländerna är lika demokratiska.

Gina påminner mig lite grand om en kollega på mitt jobb för flera år sedan. Hon var i ungefär samma ålder som Gina och var väldigt trevlig gentemot arbetskamrater och människor hon träffade på jobbet, men när det kom till ämnet Palestina så såg hon rött. Då började plötsligt hennes tidigare logiska resonemang förvandlas till snedvridna förklaringar till varför situationen är som de är. Det var hon själv som drog upp ämnet med mig första gången vi träffades men jag lät det inte gå över till någon större diskussion eftersom det helt enkelt inte var läge för det. Vi samtalade bara kort om hur svensk media hanterar ämnet och de är ju som sagt helt klart INTE på israelernas sida. Enligt en undersökning av Transatlantic så är 68% av svenskarna negativa gentemot Israel, till skillnad mot Europas genomsnittssiffra som är 51% och USAs 32%. Hur ska vi göra för förbättra den siffran? Vi kan ju inte be Israelerna sluta att försvara sig och landet för det skulle leda till självmord.

Jag tror det bästa sättet är att sluta läsa antisemitiskt material och i stället läsa historien om Israel. Givetvis så kan hstoriebeskrivningen varigera beroende på vem det är som berättar den men vissa årtal och händelser går inte komma ifrån såvida man inte ignorerar dem. Här är lite historia:

Mandatområdet i Palestina omfattade dagens Israel, Gazaremsan, Västbanken och Jordanien. Genom beslut i Nationernas förbund fick britterna ansvar för området år 1922. Tidigare hade fredskonferensen i San Remo beslutat att Palestina skulle tillfalla britterna och när beslutet ratificerades 1922 av Nationernas förbund fick även Balfourdeklarationens löfte om ett judiskt nationalhem ett internationellt godkännande. Den ena delen kallades Transjordanien men bytte sedermera namn till Jordanien och ytan utgjorde 80% av mandatområdet. Relationen mellan judar och britter försämrades drastiskt under en tid då i snitt en miljon judar om året mördades och när kriget 1945 var över, hade en majoritet av Europas judar mördats. 1947 röstade Generalförsamlingen om en delningsplan av det lilla området som blev kvar efter att 80% gick till Transjordanien och araberna. Israel tackade ja till förslaget men palestinierna tackade nej och startade i stället ett krig mot Israel, som Israel sedan vann.

De flesta som bor i Israel är helt oskyldiga till det som hände och beslutades på 1940-talet (och tidigare) så det är tragiskt att de ska riskera att råka ut för självmordsbomare och raketer. Vidare så tror jag inte att ledarna för Israel alltid tagit kloka beslut och agerat rätt i varje situation, och det gäller ledare i alla länder.

People hearkened NOT unto God but closed their ears

The word “hearken” is not commonly used today, but it’s an oft mentioned word in the Old Testament. It means: To listen attentively; to give heed, to give attention to what is said, to listen, or to hear in order to obey or comply. Below are some Biblical examples of people who did NOT choose to hearken to God or his prophets (contrary to God’s will) and they mainly concern his own people – the Israelites. Note that there are of course many more instances where we can read about people who refuse to listen to God or obey him, where the word “hearken” is not used. Did God want people to hearken to him? Of course he did! Why pleading with people and attempting to get their attention if he wouldn’t want them to listen to him and obey in the first place? This means God’s will doesn’t always happen, but he is still in control. God can be sovereign and in control even though he doesn’t direct each of our steps. The Bible is a book filled with examples of individuals and large groups of people who disobey God and refuse to listen to him, and we can take these instances as warnings for ourselves.

Let’s ask ourselves, does God want us to rebel against him, to sin, to harden our hearts, to provoke him, to be evil, to not believe him, to gather together against him, to tempt him, to worship idols, to disobey his commandments, to forsake him, to be wicked, to cause him to anger, to go a whoring, to corrupt our ways, to transgress his covenant, to be stubborn, to harden our necks, to despise him, to be proud, to dishonor him, to reject his law, to refuse to repent, to speak lying words, to kill his prophets, to be deceived, to not receive correction, to do worse than our fathers, to not incline our ears to him, to not serve him, to turn our backs on him, to cause others to sin, to commit villany, to defile his house, to make abominations, to do something that he hates, to not turn to him, etc? I hope you say with emphasis that God of course does NOT want us to behave in such a way. Yet this is what we can read happened, and his own people reacted wickedly. To deny man’s free will is to deny major parts of the Bible, resulting in a Book that doesn’t make much sense.

Exodus 8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Exodus 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

Numbers 14:¹¹And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?—²²Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;²³Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:—³⁵I the Lord have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die

Jeremiah 17:27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

Jeremiah 32: ²³And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:—³⁰For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the Lord.-—³³And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.³⁴But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.—³⁵And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.–

Jeremiah 34:¹³Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,¹⁴At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.¹⁵And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:¹⁶But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.¹⁷Therefore thus saith the Lord; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.¹⁸And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof—

Jeremiah 35:¹²Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying,¹³Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the Lord.¹⁴The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.¹⁵I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.¹⁶Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:¹⁷Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

Jeremiah 36:⁷It may be they will present their supplication before the Lord, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the Lord hath pronounced against this people.—³¹And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

Jeremiah 44: ³Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.—⁴Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.⁵But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.⁶Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.⁷Therefore now thus saith the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;—¹⁵Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,¹⁶As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee.—²²So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.²³Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

Ezekiel 3:⁷But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.—⁹As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.—²⁰Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand—²⁷But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

Zechariah 1:²The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.—³Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.⁴Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

Zechariah 7:⁹Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:¹⁰And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.¹¹But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.¹²Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.¹³Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:

Did God cause an Assyrian King to do evil and SIN in Isaiah 10:6?

I will send him against an hypocritical NATION, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. (Isaiah 10:6)

God had an agenda that was carried out and he used the plans of evil men to do it. His plans were ADDED to by men. Consider what God said of the Assyrian king whom He used to destroy sinful Israel in Isaiah 10:5-15.

Isaiah 10:⁷Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; BUT IT IS IN HIS HEART TO DESTROY and cut off NATIONS not a few

Note that God’s instruction was concerning a “nation”, but here we can see that the Assyrian had in his heart to destroy NATIONS, in plural. God had told the Assyrian king to go against Israel, not Jerusalem, but the king’s motive was different than God’s. The king merely wanted to plunder the nation of Israel for his own personal gain and without divine permission. Therefore God says he will judge the Assyrian king for his pride. This is similar to the crucifixion of Christ. The death of Christ at the hands of sinners need not to have been attended with any more feeling of maliciousness than Abraham had toward Isaac. (See my blog post about this.)

Isaiah 10 starts out with a WOE to them that decree unrighteous decrees. If God caused the Assyrian King to do evil, then this woe would fall back on God himself.

¹WOE unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed— ⁴Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Does God want people to decree unrighteous decrees? Clearly not. This shows that people can indeed decree unrighteous decrees against his will, and do other evil things. As a consequence, this could lead to being without the protection of God and end up in trouble. Without God’s divine protection it will be so much easier for the enemy to gain victory. When God stretches out his hand against Israel, the Assyrians will be more successful.

Isaiah 10:¹¹Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? ¹²Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of THE STOUT HEART OF THE KING OF ASSYRIA, and the glory of his high looks.

It’s a sin to worship idols, and it’s a sin to have a stout heart. Clearly the Assyrian King acted against the will of God. God will punish the King for his actions, since they were done without his divine permission.

¹³For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: —

The King forgets that he may not have been so successful had not God allowed destruction to come upon Israel. God used the King’s evil scheme to accomplish something he had in mind, and that’s why the King felt things went rather smoothly for him.

²⁴Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

The same message is found in Isaiah 9

⁹And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,— ¹¹Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together; ¹²The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Pride and stoutness can cause God’s wrath, and here he stretched out his hand against Israel.

¹³For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

Bad idea to not seek the Lord of hosts. God would have preferred if they did.

¹⁴Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. ¹⁵The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. ¹⁶For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

The reason why God allows Israel to be destroyed is due to their own actions. God is not the one who predestines people to err, but we can read that it’s LEADERS who cause people to err. When people make the bad choice to trust in evil leaders, they will have to take the consequences, and they will be lead astray.

¹⁷Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

God has no joy in their young men. Would God predestine men to behave in a way that is not pleasing to God? We can read that “every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and that every mouth speaketh folly”. Does God want people to be and behave in that sinful way? Clearly not. People constantly act against the will of God and DUE to their sinful actions, God will turn away and stretch out his hand against them in anger.

¹⁸For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. ¹⁹Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.— ²¹Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

The trouble is due to man’s wicked actions.

History of the very recent origin of the Pretribulation rapture and Dispensationalism

First, a few Bible verses to show that pretribulation doesn’t work

Matthew 24:29IMMEDIATELY AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they (the angels) shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 Cor. 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 7:14And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these whichare arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Here are names of writers to be very cautious about since they have been guilty of a lot of plagiarizing, historical document revisionism , misquoting of others (and other dishonesty) and most importantly due to their refusal to admit these errors in their writings; Tim LaHaye (the same person who wrote the famous Left Behind series which gave him a substantial income) Thomas Ice and Todd Strandberg. They all believe in a pretribulation rapture. I say this so you won’t be deceived by them.

A Counter-Reformation, the Jesuit Commission and possible events leading up to the false teaching

In 1545, the Catholic Church convened one of its most famous councils in history, which took place north of Rome in a city called Trent. One of the main purposes of this Council was for Catholics to plan a counterattack against Martin Luther and the Protestants. This warfare only confirmed in the minds of Protestants the conviction that Papal Rome was indeed the Beast which would “make war with the saints” (Revelation 13:7). Therefore a new tactic was needed, something less obvious. This is where the Jesuits come in. On August 15, 1534, Ignatius Loyola founded a secretive Catholic order called the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. Jesuit priests have been known throughout history as the most wicked political arm of the Roman Catholic Church. At the Council of Trent, the Catholic Church gave the Jesuits the specific assignment of destroying Protestantism and bringing people back to the Mother Church. This was to be done not only through the Inquisition and through torture, but also through theology.

At the Council of Trent, the Jesuits were commissioned by the Pope to develop a new interpretation of Scripture that would counteract the Protestant application of the Bible’s Antichrist prophecies to the Roman Catholic Church. Francisco Ribera (1537-1591), a brilliant Jesuit priest and doctor of theology from Spain, basically said, “Here am I, send me”. In 1590, Ribera published a commentary on the Revelation as a counter-interpretation to the prevailing view among Protestants which identified the Papacy with the Antichrist. Ribera applied all of Revelation but the earliest chapters to the end time rather than to the history of the Church. Antichrist would be a single evil person who would be received by the Jews and would rebuild Jerusalem. Following close behind Francisco Ribera was another brilliant Jesuit scholar, Cardinal Robert Bellarmine (1542-1621) of Rome. In his lectures, he agreed with Ribera. The futurists’ school won general acceptance among Catholics. Through the work of these two tricky Jesuit scholars, we might say that a brand new baby was born into the world. In fact, Francisco Ribera has been called the Father of Futurism.

For almost 300 years after the Council of Trent, Jesuit Futurism remained largely inside the realm of Catholicism, but the plan of the Jesuits was that these theological tenets be adopted by Protestants. This adoption process actually began in the early 1800s in England, and from there it spread to America. Dr. Samuel Roffey Maitland (1792-1866), a lawyer and Bible scholar, became a librarian to the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is very likely that one day he discovered Ribera’s commentary in the library. In any event, in 1826 he published a widely-read book attacking the Reformation and supporting Ribera’s idea of a future one-man Antichrist.

After Dr. Maitland came James H. Todd, a professor of Hebrew at the University of Dublin. Todd accepted the futuristic ideas of Maitland, publishing his own supportive pamphlets and books. Then came John Henry Newman (1801-1890), a member of the Church of England and a leader of the famous Oxford Movement (1833-1845). Through the influence of Maitland, Todd, Newman, and others, a definite “Romeward movement was already arising, destined to sweep away the old Protestant landmarks, as with a flood.

Why many are deceived to believe in the pretribulation rapture today

According to Bob Gundry and Dave MacPherson, Edward Irving (1792-1834) was most likely the first to publicly make the suggestion of a pretribulational rapture of the Church. When Irving turned to the prophecies, he eventually accepted the one-man Antichrist idea of Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera, yet he went a step furter! As a Presbyterian minister of the Church of Scotland, he attended the prophetic conferences (1826-1830) held by Henry Drummond at Albury Park, England. When Irving first suggested the secret coming of Christ, the controversial idea split those in attendance into factions. Somewhere around 1830, Edward Irving began to teach the unique idea of a two-phase return of Christ, the first phase being a secret rapture prior to the rise of the Antichrist.

In the midst of this growing anti-Protestant climate in England, there arose a man by the name of John Nelson Darby (1800-1882). A brilliant lawyer, pastor, and theologian, he wrote more than 53 books on Bible subjects. He became one of the leaders of a group in Plymouth, England, which became known as the Plymouth Brethren. Darby’s contribution to the development of evangelical theology has been so great that he has been called The Father of Modern Dispensationalism. Yet John Nelson Darby, also became a strong promoter of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture followed by a one-man Antichrist. In his book The Irrationalism of Infidelity (1853), pp. 283-5, he describes in great detail his visit with Margaret MacDonald in her home in Scotland in mid-1830 and talked about her endtime outlook and the Scriptural texts she used for support. Irving and Darby, through the influences of MacDonald, are the main reason to why people have been deceived into believing in pretribulation rapture today since this false idea started with them.

One of the most important figures in this whole drama is Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921), a Kansas lawyer who was greatly influenced by the writings of Darby. In 1909, Scofield published the first edition of his famous Scofield Reference Bible. In the early 1900s, this Bible became so popular in American Protestant Bible schools that it was necessary to print literally millions of copies. Yet, in the much-respected footnotes of this very Bible, Scofield injected large doses of the fluid of Futurism also found in the writings of Darby, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera. Through the Scofield Bible, the Jesuit child reached young adulthood. The doctrine of an Antichrist still to come was becoming firmly established inside 20th-century American Protestantism.

The Moody Bible Institute and the Dallas Theological Seminary have strongly supported the teachings of John Nelson Darby, and this has continued to fuel Futurism’s growth. Then in the 1970s, Pastor Hal Lindsey, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, released his blockbuster book The Late Great Planet Earth. This 177-page, easy-to-read volume brought Futurism to the masses of American Christianity, and beyond. The New York Times labeled it “The number one best-seller of the decade”. Over 30 million copies have been sold, and it has been translated into over 30 languages. Through The Late Great Planet Earth, Jesuit Futurism took a strong hold over the Protestant Christian world.The book and the series Left Behind is now teaching much of the same Jesuit Futurism as Francisco Ribera, which is hiding the real truth about the Antichrist.

FRANCISCO RIBERA (1537-1591), FUTURISM

JESUIT Priest and Doctor of Theology

The Spanish Ribera was a Jesuit, a doctor of theology, who started writing (1585) a 500 page commentary on the book of Revelation six years before his death (1591). In his commentary, Ribera believed that the rapture would occur 45 days before the end of the 3-1/2 year tribulation period (also shades of the future PreWrath doctrine). This was the first time the second coming was split into two separate comings, one for the Church and then one at the end of the age with the raptured Church returning with Christ in wrath.

JESUIT Scholar, the most prominent of his time

Also during this period, acclaimed Jesuit apologist Cardinal Robert Bellarmine, wrote “Polemic Lectures Concerning the Disputed Points of the Christian Belief Against the Heretics of This Time.” His purpose in doing so was to refute the Historic theory of figuring Daniel’s 1260, 1290 and 2300 days as years, relegating these to actual days, e.g., 1260 days, etc. By doing so, the reign of Antichrist was pushed into a future time and negated Catholicism and its pope as the man of sin and his system during his time.

MANUEL DE LACUNZA (1731-1801), FUTURISM, JESUIT Priest

In a book titled, “Hidden Beast 2,” E. H. Scolfield writes “There was a Spanish family living in Chili named de Lacunzas. In the year of our Lord, 1731, they had a baby boy. Fifteen years later, the lad was sent to Spain to become a Jesuit priest. Twenty-two years later after that, in 1767, the Jesuits were expelled from Spain because of their brutality. The now Father Manuel de Lacunza y Diaz had to move. He went to Imola, Italy, where he remained for the rest of his life. In Imola, he claimed to be a converted Jew. Under the alias of ‘Rabbi Ben Ezra‘ he wrote a book. The title: ‘The Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty.’ In that book he theorized that the church would be ‘raptured’ (taken up to be with the Lord) some 45 days before the real return of Jesus to the Earth. During that 45 days (while the church was in heaven with the Lord) God would judge the wicked still on earth.”

This last sentence shows shades of PreWrath doctrine of today, though that was put together during the 1990s. Lacunza wrote his manuscript in Spanish and it was published in 1812 under a pseudo-name, Juan Josafa [Rabbi] Ben-Ezra. By doing so, his book would more easily be accepted by Protestantism. This proved true as it was placed on Rome’s Index of prohibited books, which only made it sought out by the Protestants.

Lacunza emphasized a return to interpreting prophecy literally from the Futurist viewpoint. He wrote of a future Antichrist and a 1260-day (literal days) tribulation, events just preceding the coming of the Lord. He wrote in opposition to the ‘year-day’ theory of the Historicists (1260 days = 1260 years). He did not promote a pretribulational rapture of the saints at the future time of the Antichrist. His rapture of the saints occurred 45 days before the end of Daniel’s 70th week, probably an influence from Ribera. Lacunza’s book would have a dramatic influence on Edward Irving and his formation of the Pretribulation doctrine. It most likely influenced Irving to add another coming of Christ to the one described in Scripture.

MORGAN EDWARDS (1722-1795), FUTURISM

Edwards believed many events described in Revelations took place shortly after they were written down, so NATURALLY this made him describe Biblical events in a very “pretribulationistic” way. He wrote the earliest paper on the Pretribulation doctrine, using no references to anyone in the past. It was not written as a document to be seriously considered as the following will show:

“The earliest published reference to a pre-tribulation rapture occurred in 1788. Around 1740, a young Baptist named Morgan Edwards wrote an essay for eschatology class on his views of Bible prophecy. This essay was later published in Philadelphia (178 under the following title: Two Academical Exercises on Subjects Bearing the following Titles; Millennium, Last-Novelties. In the article, Edwards made statements which expounded his views concerning a pre-tribulation gathering of the Church. As far as can be determined, Edwards views concerning a pre-trib rapture gained no notoriety nor was this doctrine given any credence in the Church” (The Fallacy of Rapture Theology as revealed by the Word of God by David Redmond).

Christians are warned to not take the mark of the beast or they will lose their salvation

Many Christians will fall away (Matt. 24:9-10, 2 Thess. 2:3) during the latter days, and many will overcome by dying martyrs at that time (Rev. 7:9-17) and that will occur before the rapture (Rev. 20:4-6).

Rev. 7:⁹After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;—¹³And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?¹⁴And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

(About the beast) Rev. 13:⁷And it was given unto him to make war with the SAINTS, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.—13:⁹If any man have an ear, let him hear.¹⁰He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the PATIENCE and the faith of the SAINTS.

Rev. 14:⁹And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, IF any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,¹⁰The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:¹²Here is the PATIENCE of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev. 12:¹⁰And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.¹¹And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Why would we be given the following warning if true born against christians will never take the mark of the Beast – based on the idea that they can never fall away and lose their salvation? Probably because they DO risk to fall away and lose their salvation:

Rev. 13:¹⁸Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Common arguments for the pretribulaton rapture

1) Jesus promised the church the following: Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. (Rev 3:10) Jesus said that he would keep Christians from this hour of trial coming on the whole earth.

ANSWER: The Greek word found in Rev.3:10 and translated keep you from is also found at John 17:11 and 17:15 and can mean keep THROUGH. We are not promised that we will not be part of the tribulation but we will be carried through.

2) Jesus will come at an hour where we do not expect him, Mat. 24:44. If He was coming at some time other than pre-trib, we would know when He was coming.

ANSWER: We are told that Jesus return will be much like in the days of Noah, and people were much unprepared for the flood precisely because they were wicked sinners who did not listen to Noah’s warnings. If we adhere to the warnings (“watch therefore”) then we will be more prepared, just like Noah was. When Jesus returns, then there will indeed be sheep and goats that will suddenly be separated. We must also compare with other Scriptures:

Mark 13:²³But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.²⁴But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,²⁵And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.²⁶And THEN shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.²⁷And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

According to this Scripture, the gathering of the elect from earth to heaven (the rapture) cannot happen until first there is a radical change in the way we currently view the sun, moon and stars. That change will occur after the tribulation. We are actually assured the day will NOT come unexpectedly IF we make sure we are prepared for it:

Luke 21:³⁴And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

3) In Luke 21:36 Jesus taught^“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

ANSWER: What the saints will escape is what comes after the rapture, which is the wrath of God IF they take heed and obey Jesus prior to it. The tribulation is not the wrath of God. The wrath of God begins at the overlapping point of Rev. 11:18 and Rev. 6:17, which is after the tribulation.

Rev. 11:¹⁸And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Rev. 6:¹⁶And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:¹⁷For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

4) The church will depart before the antichrist is revealed as per 2 Thess. 2:7,8

ANSWER: The following can be read prior to this verse:

2 Thess. 2:³Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition

It doesn’t say that the church will depart prior to the rapture. At least two events must precede the gathering of the saints to heaven (the rapture) (1) apostasy and (2) the revealing of the antichrist.

The Bible predicts a “great Apostasy” before the rapture occurs in 2 Thess 2. If the rapture happens at the beginning of the tribulation, then we should not to find any mention of a trumpet after the tribulation begins. But we do.

Mt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken—31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mt 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

The city of the new Jerusalem will come down to earth and the saints will already be here on earth.

Den förlorade sonen var, enligt hans egen Far, DÖD när han levde i sus och dus och konstigt vore väl annars? Inte är väl himlen öppen för oomvända syndare som lever i omoral?

Lukas 15:32. Men nu måste vi glädjas och fröjdas, för denne din bror var död men har fått liv igen, han var förlorad och är återfunnen.

En del brukar säga att den förlorade sonen aldrig slutade att vara sin Faderns son, och det stämmer förstås att han aldrig blev någon annans fysiska son och att han alltid genom blod och släktskap var son till sin Fader, men frågan är om sonen var andligt levande under hela sitt liv. Just denna Fader gjorde inte sonen arvslös eller avsade sig bekantskapen med honom, men detta skulle kunna vara ett alternativ för andra fäder. Det finns föräldrar som faktiskt avsagt sig bekantskapen av vuxna barn när exempelvis droger eller alkohol tagit överhanden och där barnen visat förakt gentemot sina föräldrar och varit våldsamma och farliga. Efter flera chanser så kanske till slut föräldrarna ger upp och klipper alla band med barnen, även om de hela tiden hoppas på att barnen ska omvända sig. Föräldrar kanske väntar hela livet på att en son ska omvända sig, men en vacker dag måste till slut arvet skiftas, och då är frågan vem som finns kvar på listan över de som ska ärva? I liknelsen med den förlorade sonen så fick visserligen sonen ut ett delarv redan under sin Faders levnad, men det största arvet (återstoden av hans Faders hus och andra ägodelar) återstod att skifta. Vi måste alltså hålla ut till slutet för att få segerkransen.

Andra menar att berättelsens kärna har med Israel och hedningarna att göra, och att det handlar om en bild av att hedningarna får erbjudandet att bli Guds barn för att Israel tackat nej. Det går kanske att göra en sådan parallell, men liknelsen har med OMVÄNDELSE att göra, och det kan vi se med hjälp av de övriga två liknelserna i samma kapitel. Temat handlar om något som är FÖRLORAT men som blir UPPHITTAT. Det står inte heller att det som är förlorat här i världen garanterat kommer att bli upphittat, men liknelserna handlar om fall med lyckliga slut, för att illustrera den lycka som finns i himlen över var och en som väljer att omvända sig. Gud vill ju inte att någon ska gå förlorad.

Luk. 15:7 Jag säger er: På samma sätt blir det glädje i himlen över en enda syndare som omvänder sig – inte över nittionio rättfärdiga som ingen omvändelse behöver.

Luk. 15:10 Jag säger er: På samma sätt blir det glädje bland Guds änglar över en enda syndare som omvänder sig.

Vi kan lära oss bland annat följande av liknelsen:

Den förlorade sonen var själsligt DÖD under sin bortavaro, men ändå tog han ett eget gott moraliskt beslut att återvända till sin Fader. Jag säger detta eftersom en del menar att ingen kan göra goda moraliska beslut eller söka Gud såvida inte Fadern “uppväcker” personen (reformert tänkande) men den här liknelsen bevisar att detta inte stämmer.
Sonen tog sitt eget beslut att återvända och ingen annan person påverkade honom eller tvingade honom. Den förlorade sonen OMVÄNDE sig. Han insåg sin synd och planerade hur han skulle lägga fram sin ursäkt till Fadern, vilket han senare verkställde. Även om våra synder är blodröda så kan de bli vita som snö.
Den förlorade sonen gick från 1) levande, till 2) död till 3) levande igen. Hans egen Fader kallade honom för DÖD medan han var borta och levde i synd, så det hjälpte alltså inte denna son att han fortfarande var den fysiska sonen till sin Fader eftersom han ändå var förlorad så länge som han levde i synd. Självfallet kan en person som lever i oomvänd synd, såsom otukt och avgudadyrkan, inte vara på väg till himlen. Den förlorade sonen tjänade SYND och var alltså en SYNDARE, och v är slavar under den vi lyder. Inget oheligt kan komma in i himlen och synd separerar oss från Gud. Vägen tillbaka är endast omvändelse.
Fadern gick inte ut för att leta efter honom, och han tvingade inte honom tillbaka. Han väntade hemma men hoppades förstås varje dag på att sonen skulle komma tillbaka. Sonen var den som tog initiativet att återvända, inte Fadern, men när sonen nalkades så sprang Fadern ut för att möta honom. Fadern gläder sig åt varje omvänt hjärta!
Brodern förlorade ingenting alls på att den förlorade sonen kom tillbaka, eftersom allt som Fadern ägde var hans, men ändå var han arg och missunnsam. Han skulle kunna ha glatt sig åt att en förlorad människa fick liv igen.

Den förlorade sonen slösade bort sina ägodelar, och levde ett utsvävande liv tillsammans med prostituerade. Han var alltså skyldig till att bryta mot det första budet eftersom han visat med sitt liv att han INTE älskat sin Fader över allting annat. Han var även skyldig till avgudadyrkan (där pengar, grejor och ens eget kött går före Gud), otukt och promiskuitet. Skulle man även kunna säga att han “sådde i sitt kötts åker”? Bibeln säger att om man sår i sitt kötts åker skördar man undergång (död), men om man i stället följer Anden så skördar man LIV.

Gal. 6:8 Den som sår i sitt kötts åker skall av köttet skörda UNDERGÅNG, men den som sår i Andens åker skall av Anden skörda evigt liv.

Vad mer säger Bibeln om de som lever utsvävande och orättfärdiga liv i otukt?

1 Kor. 6:9 Vet ni inte att inga orättfärdiga skall få ärva Guds rike? Bedra inte er själva! Varken otuktiga eller avgudadyrkare, varken äktenskapsbrytare eller de som utövar homosexualitet eller de som låter sig utnyttjas för sådant

Ef. 5:5 Ni skall veta att ingen otuktig eller oren eller girig – en sådan är en avgudadyrkare – skall ärva Kristi och Guds rike.

Gal. 5: 19 Köttets gärningar är uppenbara: de är otukt, orenhet, lösaktighet, 20 avgudadyrkan, svartkonst, fiendskap, kiv, avund, vredesutbrott, gräl, splittringar, villoläror, 21 illvilja, fylleri, utsvävningar och annat sådant. Jag säger er i förväg vad jag redan har sagt: de som lever så skall inte ärva Guds rike.

Kol. 3:5 Döda därför era begär som hör jorden till: otukt, orenhet, lidelse, lusta, och girigheten som är avgudadyrkan. 6 Allt sådant nedkallar Guds vrede över olydnadens barn

Upp. 21:27 Aldrig någonsin skall något orent komma in i den, och inte heller någon som handlar skändligt och lögnaktigt, utan endast de som är skrivna i livets bok som tillhör Lammet.

Och han sade: En man hade två söner.12. Och den yngre av dem sade till fadern: Fader, ge mig den del av egendomen som tillkommer mig. Och han delade ägodelarna dem emellan. 13. Och inte många dagar därefter samlade den yngre sonen ihop allt sitt och for långt bort till ett främmande land. Och där slösade han bort sina ägodelar och levde ett utsvävande liv. 14. Och sedan han hade slösat bort allt, blev det en stor hungersnöd i det landet, och han började lida nöd.15. Då gick han bort och slöt sig till en inbyggare i det landet, och han sände honom ut på sina marker för att vakta svin. 16. Och han längtade efter att få fylla sin buk med de fröskidor som svinen åt, men ingen gav honom. 17. Då besinnade han sig och sade: Hur många av min faders daglönare har inte bröd i överflöd, och här förgås jag av hunger! 18. Jag vill stå upp och gå till min far och säga till honom: Far, jag har syndat mot himlen och inför dig. 19. Jag är inte mer värd att kallas din son. Låt mig få vara såsom en av dina daglönare. 20. Och så stod han upp och gick till sin far. Och då han ännu var långt borta, såg hans far honom och förbarmade sig över honom och sprang emot honom, föll honom om halsen och kysste honom. 21. Och sonen sade till honom: Far, jag har syndat mot himlen och inför dig och är inte mer värd att kallas din son. 22. Då sade fadern till sina tjänare: Bär fram den bästa klädnaden och klä honom i den, och sätt en ring på hans hand och skor på hans fötter. 23. Och hämta hit den gödda kalven och slakta den och låt oss äta och vara glada. 24. Ty denne min son VAR DÖD och har fått liv igen, han var förlorad och är återfunnen. Och de började göra sig glada. 25. Men hans äldre son var ute på marken. Och när han kom och närmade sig huset, hörde han musik och dans. 26. Då kallade han till sig en av tjänarna och frågade honom vad det var. 27. Då sade han till honom: Din bror har kommit och din far har låtit slakta den gödda kalven, därför att han har fått honom tillbaka välbehållen igen. 28. Då blev han vred och ville inte gå in. Hans far gick då ut och bad honom. 29. Men han svarade och sade till fadern: Se, i så många år har jag tjänat dig och har aldrig överträtt något av dina bud, och ändå har du aldrig gett mig en killing, så att jag kunde göra mig glad med mina vänner. 30. Men när denne din son, som har slösat bort dina ägodelar med skökor, nu har kommit tillbaka, har du för honom slaktat den gödda kalven. 31. Då sade han till honom: Min son, du är alltid hos mig, och allt det som är mitt, det är ditt. 32. Men nu måste vi glädjas och fröjdas, för denne din bror var död men har fått liv igen, han var förlorad och är återfunnen.
