KUNG SAUL och Gud som ångrade att han valt honom till Israels Kung

Kung Saul är en intressant person med tanke på att Gud faktiskt tyckte att det var en dålig idé att överhuvudtaget sätta en kung över Israel på den här tiden, och när han ändå gick med på folkets önskemål om en kung så ångrade han sedan att han valt just Saul.

Det börjar med Samuels söner som var domare och tyvärr vandrade bort från Gud på sina egna själviska vägar genom att ta mutor och förvränga lagen till sina egna fördelar. Det är möjligt att de inledningsvis klarade av sina uppgifter som rekorderliga domare eftersom det står att de “vek av” från Herrens väg, men helt klart är att de till slut inte lyckades motstå frestelsen att dra nytta av sina maktpositioner. Vissa människor undviker korruption just för att de inte ens har makten att utföra någon form av korruption, men om tillfälle ges så kanske de skulle ta chansen. Samuels söner tog chansen och fortsatte på den vägen när de en gång börjat. Självfallet var det ingenting som Gud såg på med blida ögon, och förmodligen inte heller deras far Samuel när han uppmärksammade oegentligheterna. Samuel hade gett domaruppdragen till sina söner när han själv blev för gammal för att klara det.

1 Sam. 8:1 När Samuel blev gammal satte han sina söner till domare över Israel.²Hans förstfödde hette Joel och hans andre son Abia. De var domare i Beer-Sheba. ³Men hans söner vandrade inte på hans väg utan vek av från den och sökte orätt vinning. De tog mutor och förvrängde lagen.

Folket krävde då en KUNG i stället. Samuel trivdes förmodligen inte alls med situationen gällande hans korrumperade söner men han tyckte ändå av många skäl (som framkommer i 1 Sam. 8: 10-17) att det var en dålig idé att lösa problemet genom att sätta en kung över Israel. Ett alternativ skulle ju kunna vara att försöka få sönerna att ändra sig eller att använda sig av andra domare. Framför allt skulle man kunna be GUD om hjälp. Samuel bad hur som helst till Herren som menade att folket faktiskt förkastade honom (Gud) genom detta önskemål om en kung, och att de ALLTID betett sig på detta avoga sätt. Självfallet är det alltid emot Guds vilja när folk förkastar och överger honom, och saker och ting sker inte alltid på det sättet som Gud önskar. Gud rådde dock Samuel att lyssna på folket i det här fallet, trots att det var ett riktigt uselt förslag som de framfört. Men han ville samtidigt att Samuel noga skulle se till att varna dem för vad slags framtid de hade att förvänta sig med en kung över sig, och det var alls inga sötebrödsdagar som Gud menade att de skulle få – utan den raka motsatsen (1 Sam. 8:10-17.) Det är ett bra exempel på att Gud ibland agerar beroende på hur människorna agerar, men människorna måste ta konsekvenserna för sina egna önskemål och handlingar.

⁴Då samlades alla de äldste i Israel och kom till Samuel i Rama ⁵och sade till honom: “Du är gammal och dina söner vandrar inte på dina vägar. Sätt nu en kung över oss till att styra över oss, så som alla folk har.” ⁶Det var i Samuels ögon ett dåligt förslag när de sade: “Ge oss en kung till att styra över oss.” Och Samuel bad till Herren. ⁷Då sade Herren till Samuel: “Lyssna till folket i allt de säger till dig. Ty det är inte dig de har förkastat, utan det är mig de har förkastat, så att jag inte skall vara kung över dem. ⁸Så har de alltid gjort, från den dag då jag förde dem upp ur Egypten ända till denna dag. De har övergivit mig och tjänat andra gudar och så gör de också mot dig.⁹Men lyssna nu till deras ord. Du skall allvarligt varna dem och förklara för dem vilka rättigheter den kung får som kommer att regera över dem.”

Samuel läser upp de många och långa varningarna om hur livet med en kung skulle bli och avslutar med “När ni då ropar på hjälp på grund av er kung som ni har valt åt er, då skall Herren inte svara er”. Trots det insisterade folket på att få en kung.

¹⁹Men folket vägrade att lyssna till Samuels ord och sade: “Nej, en kung måste vi ha över oss. ²⁰Också vi vill bli som alla andra folk. Vår kung skall döma oss. Han skall dra ut framför oss och föra våra krig.” ²¹När Samuel hörde allt detta som folket sade, framförde han det till Herren. ²²Då sade Herren till Samuel: “Lyssna till deras ord och sätt en kung över dem.” Och Samuel sade till Israels män: “Gå hem, var och en till sin stad.”

Därför valde Gud en kung åt Israel efter deras egna önskemål, och självfallet valde han en bra kandidat med god kvalitet efter sitt eget hjärta! (Läs mer…)

1 Sam. 9:1 I Benjamin levde en man som hette Kish, son till Abiel, son till Seror, son till Bekorat, son till Afia, son till en benjaminit. Han var en mäktig man. ²Han hade en son som hette Saul, en ståtlig ung man. Ingen bland Israels barn var vackrare än han. Han var huvudet högre än allt folket.

Gud såg till att Saul fick ett möte med profeten Samuel, och han lovade att Saul skulle bli den man som räddade Israel från filistéernas hand.

1 Sam. 9:¹⁵Dagen innan Saul kom, hade Herren uppenbarat för Samuel och sagt: ¹⁶“I morgon vid den här tiden skall jag sända till dig en man från Benjamins land, och honom skall du smörja till furste för mitt folk Israel. Han skall rädda mitt folk från fili steernas hand. Ty jag har sett till mitt folk, eftersom deras rop har kommit till mig.“¹⁷När Samuel fick se Saul, sade Herren till honom: “Se, där är den man som jag talade till dig om: Han skall styra mitt folk.”

1 Sam. 10:10 Samuel tog sin oljeflaska och göt olja på Sauls huvud, kysste honom och sade: “Se, Herren har smort dig till furste över sin arvedel.

Samuel profeterade över Saul och berättade att Herrens Ande skulle falla över honom, vilket är just vad som skedde.

1 Sam. 10: ⁶Herrens Ande skall komma över dig, och du skall profetera med dem och bli förvandlad till en annan människa. ⁷När du ser att dessa tecken inträffar, gör då vad du finner lämpligt att göra, ty Gud är med dig. ⁸Och du skall gå före mig till Gilgal. Se, jag skall komma ner till dig för att offra brännoffer och gemenskapsoffer. Du skall vänta i sju dagar, till dess jag kommer till dig och meddelar vad du skall göra.”⁹När Saul vände sig om för att gå ifrån Samuel, förvandlade Gud hans hjärta. Alla dessa tecken inträffade samma dag. ¹⁰När de kom till Gibea kom en skara profeter emot honom. Då föll Guds Ande över honom, och han profeterade mitt ibland dem.

Gud gav dem en kung som så här långt var lydig och gudfruktig, men Gud ville fortfarande att det skulle vara känt att folket faktiskt förkastat Gud.

1 Sam. 10:¹⁷Samuel kallade samman folket till Herren i Mispa. ¹⁸Han sade till Israels barn: “Så säger Herren, Israels Gud: Jag förde Israel upp ur Egypten, och jag befriade er från egyptierna och från alla andra kungadömen som förtryckte er.¹⁹Men i dag har ni förkastat er Gud, som räddade er ur alla era olyckor och svårigheter, och ni har sagt till honom: Sätt en kung över oss. Så träd nu fram inför Herren efter era stammar och era släkter.”—²⁴Samuel sade till allt folket: “Här ser ni den som Herren har utvalt. Det finns ingen som han bland allt folket.” Då jublade alla och ropade: “Leve konungen!”

Gud gav via Samuel folket ett VAL att lyda honom(Gud) eller inte, och berättade vilka konsekvenserna skulle bli beroende på vilket väg de valde:

1 Sam. 11:¹²Men när ni såg Nahas, ammoniternas kung, komma emot er, sade ni till mig: Nej, en kung måste regera över oss. Och ändå är det Herren, er Gud, som är er konung.¹³Se, här är nu den kung som ni har valt, som ni bad om. Se, Herren har satt en kung över er. ¹⁴Om ni fruktar Herren och tjänar honom och hör hans röst och inte är upproriska mot Herrens befallning, då skall både ni och den kung som regerar över er följa Herren, er Gud. ¹⁵Men om ni inte hör Herrens röst utan är upproriska mot Herrens befallning, då skall Herrens hand vara mot er liksom mot era fäder.

1 Sam. 11:²⁴Se bara till att ni fruktar Herren och tjänar honom troget av hela ert hjärta. Ty se, han har gjort stora ting med er. ²⁵Men om ni gör det som är ont, skall både ni och er kung förgås.”

Lydnad är bättre än offer, men tyvärr valde Saul det sistnämnda. Saul valdes som kung eftersom Gud ville ha en man till den uppgiften efter sitt hjärta. Ändå valde Saul till slut att gå sin egen väg.

1 Sam. 13:¹³Samuel sade: “Du har handlat dåraktigt. Du har inte hållit det bud Herren, din Gud, har gett dig. Om du hade gjort det, skulle Herren ha befäst ditt kungadöme över Israel för all framtid. ¹⁴Men nu skall ditt kungadöme inte bestå. Herren har sökt sig en man EFTER SITT HJÄRTA, och honom har han utsett till furste över sitt folk. Men du har inte hållit vad Herren befallt dig.“

Gud ångrade till slut att han överhuvudtaget valt Saul som kung, eftersom Saul blivit motsträvig och upprorisk.

1 Sam. 15:¹⁰Då kom Herrens ord till Samuel: ¹¹“Jag ångrar att jag har gjort Saul till kung, ty han har vänt sig från mig och inte utfört mina befallningar.” Det bedrövade Samuel och han ropade till Herren hela den natten.

1 Sam. 15:¹⁸Herren sände i väg dig och sade: Gå och förgör dessa syndare, amalekiterna, och strid mot dem, till dess du har gjort slut på dem. ¹⁹Varför har du då inte hört Herrens röst utan kastat dig över bytet och gjort det som är ont i Herrens ögon?”— ²¹Men folket tog av bytet får och nötboskap, det bästa av det som skulle ges till spillo, för att offra det åt Herren, din Gud, i Gilgal.” ²²Då sade Samuel: “Har Herren samma glädje i brännoffer och slaktoffer som att man hör Herrens röst? Se, lydnad är bättre än offer och hörsamhet bättre än det feta av baggar. ²³Ty upproriskhet är trolldomssynd och trots är synd och avguderi. Eftersom du har förkastat Herrens ord, har han också förkastat dig, så att du inte längre får vara kung.”²⁴Saul sade till Samuel: “Jag har syndat genom att inte lyda Herrens befallning och dina ord. Jag fruktade för folket och lyssnade till dem. ²⁵Men förlåt mig nu min synd och vänd tillbaka med mig, så att jag får tillbe Herren.”²⁶Samuel sade till Saul: “Jag vill inte vända tillbaka med dig, för du har förkastat Herrens ord, och Herren har också förkastat dig, så att du inte längre kan vara kung över Israel.”

Gud kan absolut ändra sina beslut (varför skulle vi annars be om vi inte kunde påverka), men sen finns det löften och beslut som Gud aldrig ångrar eller ruckar på, och han ändrar aldrig sin karaktär eller gudom. Gud håller sig till sina villkor om han valt att sätta några, och har han bestämt sig för en plan så håller han sig till den.

²⁸Samuel sade till honom: ” Herren har i dag ryckt Israels kungarike från dig och gett det åt en annan, som är bättre än du.²⁹Och den Härlige i Israel ljuger inte och ångrar sig inte. Ty han är inte en människa, så att han skulle kunna ångra sig.”

³⁵Samuel ville inte mer se Saul, så länge han levde, ty Samuel sörjde över Saul. Och Herren ångrade att han hade gjort Saul till kung över Israel.

Kung Saul hade först Herrens Ande, men nu fick han – pga sin hårda attityd – en ond ande från Gud. (Eller Gud tillät en ond ande att plåga Saul, vilket utmynnar i samma sak.)

1 Sam. 16:1 16 Herren sade till Samuel: “Hur länge tänker du sörja över Saul? Jag har ju förkastat honom, så att han inte kan vara kung över Israel. Fyll ditt horn med olja och ge dig av. Jag skall sända dig till betlehemiten Isai, ty en av hans söner har jag utsett åt mig till kung.”—¹⁴Men Herrens Ande vek från Saul och en ond ande från Herren plågade honom. ¹⁵Sauls tjänare sade till honom: “Eftersom en ond ande från Gud plågar dig, ¹⁶borde du, vår herre, säga till dina tjänare som står inför dig att de söker upp en man som är skicklig att spela harpa. När den onde anden från Gud kommer över dig, skall han spela och så skall det bli bättre med dig.”

Om nu någon vill försöka påstå att det var Samuel som påstod att Gud ångrat sig vad gäller Saul och inte Gud själv, så fungerar inte den teorin eftersom vi kan dels se Guds egna ord om saken här ovan, och dessutom talade Samuel alltid Herrens ord när han profeterade:

1 Sam. 3:¹⁹Och Samuel växte upp, och Herren var med honom och han lät ingenting av allt vad han sagt falla till marken. ²⁰Hela Israel, från Dan ända till Beer-Sheba, förstod att Samuel var betrodd att vara en Herrens profet. ²¹Och Herren fortsatte att visa sig i Silo, ty Herren uppenbarade sig för Samuel i Silo genom Herrens ord.

Andra intressanta verser som visar Guds förhoppningar och grusade planer, liksom människor som måste ta konsekvenserna för sina egna dåliga val.

Hes. 22:⁴Genom det blod du har utgjutit har du dragit på dig skuld, och genom de avgudar du har gjort har du orenat dig. Så har du påskyndat dina dagars slut och nu kommit till slutet av dina år. Därför skall jag låta dig bli till hån för hednafolken och till åtlöje för alla länder.—⁶Se, var och en av furstarna i Israel har använt sin makt för att utgjuta blod.—-⁷Hos dig föraktar man sin far och mor, och mot främlingen utövar man våld. Den faderlöse och änkan förtrycker man. ⁸Mina heliga ting föraktar du, och mina sabbater vanhelgar du. ⁹Falska angivare finns hos dig, villiga att utgjuta blod. På bergen håller man offermåltider, och man bedriver skamliga ting hos dig. — ¹¹Man bedriver avskyvärda ting med sin nästas hustru, och man orenar sin sonhustru. Andra kränker sin syster, sin fars dotter.¹²För mutor är man hos dig beredd att utgjuta blod. Du ockrar och tar oskälig ränta och plundrar din nästa med våld, och du glömmer mig, säger Herren, Herren.¹³Men se, jag slår ihop mina händer i vrede över den orätta vinning du håller på med och över de blodsdåd som sker hos dig.—²⁶Prästerna kränker min lag och vanhelgar mina heliga ting. De skiljer inte mellan heligt och oheligt och undervisar inte om skillnaden mellan rent och orent. De blundar för mina sabbater, och så blir jag vanhelgad mitt ibland dem.— ²⁸De profeter de har tjänar dem som vitkalkare. De skådar åt dem falska profetsyner och spår åt dem lögnaktiga spådomar. De säger: Så säger Herren,Herren, fastän Herren inte har talat.—³⁰JAG SÖKTE bland dem efter någon som skulle bygga en mur och ställa sig i gapet inför mig till försvar för landet så att jag inte skulle fördärva det. MEN JAG FANN INGEN. ³¹Därför utgjuter jag min vrede över dem och gör slut på dem med min förbittrings eld. Deras gärningar skall jag låta komma över deras huvuden, säger Herren, Herren.”

Hes. 18:¹⁴Men om han får en son som ser alla de synder hans far begår, och fast han ser dem inte handlar på samma sätt: — ¹⁷han förgriper sig inte på den behövande, ockrar inte och tar inte oskälig ränta utan lever efter mina föreskrifter och vandrar efter mina stadgar – då skall han inte dö genom sin fars missgärning utan skall förvisso få leva. ¹⁸Hans far däremot, som begick våldsgärningar och rövade från sin broder och gjorde sådant bland sina släktingar som inte var gott, se, han skall dö i sin missgärning.¹⁹Men ni frågar: “Varför skall inte sonen bära på sin fars missgärning?” Sonen har gjort det som är rätt och rättfärdigt. Han har hållit alla mina stadgar och följt dem, och därför skall han förvisso få leva. ²⁰Den som syndar skall dö. En son skall inte bära sin fars missgärning, och en far skall inte bära sin sons missgärning. Den rättfärdiges rättfärdighet skall vara hans egen, och den ogudaktiges ogudaktighet skall vara hans egen.

Did God cause a lying spirit to entice Ahab? – 1 Kings 22 and 2 Chr. 18

God does not tempt anyone, nor does he cause people to sin

Is God pleased to put humans into impossible predicaments which he himself decrees and in which there is no escape? Only to turn around and send those poor people to hell for doing his exact will (by sinning)? How does that line up with:

Psalm 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

The Bible says that God doesn’t even TEMPT anyone, so how could anyone possibly suggest that God plays the role of Satan and causes people to sin, and even worse; pretend to be angry at the sin that he himself caused? Between Genesis and Revelations we cannot find one single case where God in any way causes/forces anyone to sin. IF 2 Chronicles 18 would tell us that God caused someone to sin (which it doesn’t) would this mean that God is the one who causes all people to sin at all times? Can every single sin under the sun be traced back to GOD? So every time we see people refusing to hearken to God and when they rebel against him, it’s really GOD who caused them to do this all along? So our Lord wants people to rebel against him? You must be joking…

James. 1:¹²Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.¹³Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:¹⁴But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.¹⁵Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.¹⁶Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Numbers 14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have NOT hearkened to my voice;

There are a few occasions where God allows a group of evil people to be victorious over his chosen people Israel, and we can see Israel’s enemy gain the Lord’s reluctant permission (2 Sam. 24 and 1 Chr. 21) to go through with their desire to cause calamity. Israel’s enemy was of course set on destroying Israel from the start, so it wasn’t a desire that God planted in them.

Saul and evil spirits

God can absolutely send “evil spirits” (or rather allow Satan certain power) just like he did with Saul, but note that God doesn’t do this randomly to people for no reason at all. God chose Saul to be king but Saul ended up being selfish and wicked which resulted in that God repented of having chosen him. Due to Saul’s evil approach, God sent him an evil spirit – or rather allowed Satan to torture him through evil spirits, which boils down to the same thing. The reason for the presence of this evil spirit is therefore Saul’s, and not God’s.

1 Samuel 15:35 And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the Lord repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.

1 Sam. 16:1 And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.—¹⁴But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.¹⁵And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.¹⁶Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.—²³And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

1 Samuel 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.

1 Samuel 19:9 And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

There is a difference between God ruling over the activity of demons and God ruling the activity of demons. God is of course more powerful than Satan and his demons. God can (albeit oftentimes reluctantly) allow demons to afflict men for various reasons, which is not to be compared with the idea that God plays dice and commands demons to torture people for no reason at all – or just because he can.

2 Chron. 18 and 1 Kings. 22 – and God trying to persuade Ahab to accept his warnings

1 Kings 22 below shows that God simply allowed King Ahab to do what he already wanted and had set his mind to – i.e., to listen to his false prophets. King Ahab of Israel twice complained to King Jehoshaphat of Judah that the Lord’s prophet Micaiah never says anything good about him but only speaks calamity. Ahab was not thankful for God’s warning to him which he chose to reject, and he was resentful once Micaiah gave him the word of the Lord. God extended even more patience toward Ahab by having Micaiah tell the king exactly what evil spirits had been doing to plot his downfall, but Ahab rejected this further warning as well. If God’s intent was to command demons to lie and deceive Ahab, why would He bother warning Ahab about it? What would be the point with trying to warn Ahab against the very disaster to which he was trying to entice him?!

When we read only certain phrases in 1 Kings 22 it may sound as though God is the direct causal agent to what happened, but if we are honest and read the whole context we get another picture. Micaiah says to Ahab: “Now therefore behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.” The word for “evil” in Hebrew may also be translated as disaster or calamity, and it’s not uncommon at all to see God punishing Israel (for their rebellion against him) by causing calamity to happen. This can easily be done by taking away his protective hand over Israel and by doing so allow the enemy to be victorious in their desire to conquer Israel – which their hearts are set upon. God is described by Micaiah as someone who has put a lying spirit in the mouth of the false prophets, while the context shows that God is doing this by permission and not by a commandment, and he even warns Ahab in the process. It’s an idiomatic way of speaking which the entire context of 1 Kings 22 demonstrates. “The Lord hath sent a lying spirit” is a stronger way of including God’s overall power than merely stating “God has allowed a lying spirit”. The lying spirit helps the false prophets to speak lies to Ahab about all that the king himself wants to believe about his future. God is not sending Ahab what He (God) wants but rather what Ahab wants! Certainly a bad choice by Ahab.

2 Chron. 18:¹⁸Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.¹⁹And the Lord said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.²⁰Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith?²¹And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.²²Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil against thee.

Same story, but in Kings:

1 King. 22:¹⁹And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.²⁰And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.²¹And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.²²And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.²³Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Note that God is asking “who shall entice Ahab?” and “wherewith?” when a certain spirit volunteered to do it and explained how he intended to do it. God did not take the other route by selecting a spirit and telling him “This is what I will cause you to do through predestination”, but instead he allowed/granted the spirit to do what he proposed to do which was what Ahab in fact asked for.

We can compare this with what happened to Job, and it’s clear from context of Job 2 that God merely allowed events to happen.

Job. 2:³And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

God desired to allow Satan to have certain power, but it’s not certain that God wanted him to use the power the way he did. When God says that he ruined Job he speaks idiomatically as though he were the causal agent, despite that the context shows he was not. There is a “lost book” called “The testimony of Job”, and even if it’s not a canonical book and therefore cannot be totally trusted, it still provides a reasonable answer to why Job was even selected to go through all this pain at all (he more or less opened up for it himself). We know that Job’s life started out being very blessed just as the end of his life. His painful time happened somewhere in the middle and it was a parentheses in his life time.

God the Father did not FORSAKE Jesus on the cross – Matt. 27:46

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Did God the Father really separate himself from Jesus and abandoned him on the cross? Is it true that the Father could not even look at Jesus due to the sins of the world that Jesus literally bore in his body? Did God the Father PUNISH Jesus on the cross?

No these ideas derived rather late in our history (we can blame Anselm of Canterbury for most of them even if they were later established by the reformers), and God the Father did NOT abandon Jesus on the cross in any way. Wasn’t the plan and God’s own idea that Jesus would die for mankind? Why then would he abandon his son on the cross when Jesus was nothing but faithful and obedient UNTO DEATH? No, God did not contradict himself by first giving up his son to die for the world, only to cowardly look away when his son needed him the most. The Bible is clear that Jesus was NOT a sinner on the cross in any way, but he was totally clean and undefiled. Jesus was NOT punished by the Father and he did NOT literally bear our sins in his body. (See more in this article.)

In Matt. 27:64 it doesn’t say that the Father abandoned Jesus, but Jesus does ask a question in relation to being abandoned, and this question could of course be heard by those who stood near the cross. They could therefore hear yet another prophesy about the Messiah even if they didn’t quite realize it at that moment. There were many prophesies which came true in Jesus Christ and that includes this many faceted question that Jesus shouted out, because it’s a quote from one of King David’s psalms which actually relates to himself (Jesus). The psalm in question is about David’s call for God and his (David’s) initial pondering if his prayers are even heard. Nevertheless, David continues by declaring that God indeed is the one who listens, answers, helps and liberates people when they have a true heart and seek him. The case could be that Jesus’s feelings on the cross were overwhelming and that he shared some of David’s feelings those last horrible moments on the cross when he alone took his last painful breaths. He died for the sins of the world but it must have felt as though the whole world was against him. Jesus is God, but he is also a human being with feelings just like ours. Quoting this psalm was perfect, because it has given us a chance to go back to it and read about both King David and Jesus, and we get many details about what transpired on the cross despite that this psalm was written long before Jesus was even born. Just like King David’s own conclusions, Jesus knew that God DOES listen and answer even in our toughest moments.

Terror i Boston Marathon när skådespelare spelar olycksoffer och får donationer

Den amerikanska organisationen FEMA har information på sin hemsida om hur det går till att vara skådespelare och spela terroroffer, och det är något som de gjort bruk utav vid tidigare terrorkatastrofer som alla har det gemensamt att det varit en stor terrorövning på samma dag, tid och plats. (9/11 New York, 7/7 London, Oklahoma, Madrid, etc). Händelsen i Sandy Hook ligger närmast till hands då CNN och andra kanaler troget den politiska makten visat upp en rad skådespelare som gjorde vad de kunde för att pressa fram tårar utan att någon gång lyckas trots stora ansträngningar. Märkligast var Gene Rosen som de största TV-kanalerna lät snörvla i TV-rutan (dock utan tårar) och berätta om hur dessa barn hittades i hans trädgård där de släppts av en busschaufför (!). Men ingen avslöjade det faktum att Gene är aktiv i en skådespelarförening. Vi har även kunnat se att FEMA beställt ett stort gäng “dödsintyg”, och man kan fråga sig varför? Det vi vet är att FEMA vill att dessa övningar ska vara så levande och naturtrogna som möjligt. Det är osäkert vad dessa terrorövningsskådespelare får i betalning, men de kan i alla fall trösta sig med att de får ENORMA inkomster genom de Donationssidor som de lagt upp på webben efter terrorhändelserna. (Helt ofattbara summor.)

När det gäller Sandy Hook så lades sådana sidor upp samma dag som händelsen, och i minst ett fall INNAN det var bekräftat att barnet i fråga avlidit. (Det var t o m så att man hittat Facebooksidor om Donationer ett par dagar innan händelsen utspelade sig, men det kanske går att förklara på något sätt.) Om barnet i fråga (Emelie Parker) verkligen har avlidit vet vi fortfarande inte eftersom det inte går att lita på något som media presenterar. Det vi däremot har kunnat se i en film är hur Emelie Parkers pappa (om det nu stämmer) leende går ut genom en byggnad där han träffat bland annat president Obama. En bild har visats där hela familjen Parker – inklusive en flicka som är misstänkt lik Emelie – och Obama står nöjt leende EFTER händelsen. Pappan går vidare rakt till en väntande filmkamera och skojar om huruvida det är tänkt att han ska läsa innantill eller ej, och vi kan sedan se hur han tar en paus, och totalt ändrar ansiktsuttryck då han skrynklar ihop ansiktet och med tjock röst (utan tårar förstås) berättar att hans dotter förolyckats. Det är förstås inget bevis, men ihop med annan information om honom och hela händelsen så blir man minst sagt misstänksam och vill ställa frågor. Men obekväma frågor har visat sig vara mycket impopulära i dessa sammanhang, och det heter att ofta att de inte vill diskutera mer med hänsyn till offren och deras familjer.

Det händer även att ägaren till sådana oönskade filmer varnas och/eller plockas bort från Youtube. Vi måste tyvärr vara beredda på ännu starkare censurering i framtiden om någon vill visa annat material som inte går ihop med den officiella bilden som den ledande klicken vill få fram.)

Hur som helst gäller det nu händelsen i Boston Marathon som liksom Sandy Hook-händelsen är totalt fullsmockad med motsägande uppgifter, anomalier och rena lögner. Det är förstås ingenting som svensk media tar upp eftersom svenska journalister troget följer amerikansk mainstream media, och precis som dem viftar bort alla andra uppgifter med en enkel anklagelse om “konspirationsteorier i likhet med att tro på en platt jord”, och vips är problemet med alla paradoxer borta, och de slipper därmed att överhuvudtaget läsa och undersöka vad som inte går ihop vad gäller den officiella förklaringen.

Nedan kan du se videor från Alex Jones och en man som kallar sig havf8 på Youtube. Den förre beter sig ibland som han har ADHD pga sin yvighet, men han presenterar mycket intressant FAKTA och tack och lov så brukar han för det mesta sortera ut vad som är just fakta och vad som är spekulationer. Havf8 är inte kristen som Alex Jones, och jag säger det så att du är beredd på vissa svärord från hans sida. Jag lägger upp videorna för att du ska kunna ta del av det viktiga material som han presenterar, så du får försöka bortse från det sätt han ibland uttrycker sig på. (Sen håller jag inte med allt dessa gossar säger bara för att jag lägger upp dessa videor.)

Du kan se i en film hur en person fått BÅDA sina ben avhuggna av bombexplosionen, men frågan är om det är sant? De som är medicinskt kunniga verkar vara eniga om att man inte kan klara sig med båda benen avhuggna en längre tid, men att det finns chanser om man får snabb hjälp genom att någon trycker ihop öppningarna för att stoppa blodflödet och sedan snabbt tas till sjukhus. Ingenting av detta inträffade dock vad gäller den här personen som misstänks vara en redan amputerad person som skadats i Afghanistan (som med lite hjälp justerat hår och näsa). Trots att han var den på gatan som var allra mest skadad så var det ingen som ens tittade åt honom under flera minuter. Däremot kan man se från en sekvens strax innan hur en stor svart kvinna dolt hans ben genom att böja sig över honom – förmodligen för att skymm när han ordnade med sina fejkade skador. Man kan se hur han sedan lyfter sina ben över kvinnan för att ligga själv på gatan, och man kan se något som förmodligen är tänkt att se ut som en benpipa men som i stället verkar vara ett alldeles spikrakt stålrör som sticker ut (som en benprotes passar i). Det borde FORSA ut blod från hans ben men det gör det inte. Några foton visar massor av röd färg på gatan under honom, men man kan även se något som ser ut som blodpåsar (rödfärg) på gatan. Blod är annars mörkt i en sådan miljö, och det borde snarare gå mot brunt, men det här blodet är knallrött. Man kan även se en person som kastar något pulver över de skadade, och man kan fråga sig om det är för att det ska se ut som personerna är tilltygade och dammiga av explosionen? Det sista vi kan se gällande den dubbelamputerade killen är hur han skjutsas i rullstol på gatan utan att verka ha det minsta ont, och märkligt nog är det den svarta kvinnan – som tidigare “hjälpt” den här killen – som läggs på bår där hon sedan ligger med stora skräckslagna ögon. Bedöm själva, och vill du se ännu fler filmer så kan du klicka på dessa personers namn så att du kan se deras kanaler.

Det finns även försök till försvar för den här killen (Jeff Bauman) där han bl. a besöker sjukhus, men det löser inte ovan problem och det kan även handla om en tidigare tagen bild och/eller photoshop. Om det handlar om ett skådespeleri så borde hans familj ha känt till det, vilket är en förutsättning för att det ska lyckas.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah

Messiah is a translation from the Greek word Χριστός (Christos) Strong’s 5547, and is used 538 times in the Bible, and it can also be translated as ”the annointed”. So Jesus Christ means Jesus the Messiah.

Jesus is identified as the Messiah several times in the Bible, so we can’t get around the fact that the son of Joseph and Mary was the promised Messiah that the Old Testament so often is speaking about through prophets and psalms.

Matt. 1:¹⁶And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.¹⁷So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.¹⁸Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

The well-known story about the wise men who looked for the star of Bethlehem, shows that they knew that the Messiah would be born there just as promised in the Scriptures. They expected the Messiah in form of a ”King” and a “governor“, which is a shepherd, and that’s exactly what Jesus was called several times. The Messiah was supposed to be come from the tribe of Judah – which is the tribe that Jesus came from.

Matt. 2: 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,²Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.³When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.⁴And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.⁵And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,⁶And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. The people understood that the son of man is the same as the Messiah, and they asked Jesus how come he says that the son of man must be lifted up when the Scriptures say that the Messiah shall abide for ever. Jesus then tells them that he is the light that they must believe in, in order to be children of light and also that he will continue to be a light for them for a little while more.

John. 12:³⁴The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?³⁵Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.³⁶While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Jesus equals the Messiah with the son of man, and when he speaks about his return to earth he warns us and tells us not to be deceived about who the Messiah really is, since it will be clear for everyone. If we feel any kind of uncertainty in this respect, it’s not the Messiah because his return will be like the lightning before all people.

Matt. 24:⁴And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.⁵For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.—²³Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.²⁴For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.²⁵Behold, I have told you before.²⁶Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.²⁷For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

If only God the Father is God and the only one to be given glory, then the holy Spirit should testify only of HIM (God the Father), but Jesus suggests that the holy Spirit testifies of HIM (Jesus).

John 15:²⁶But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of ME

Jesus Christ was crucified for the reason that he claimed to be the son of God, the Messiah and God in flesh. Jesus constantly connected the God name “I AM” to himself, which he does also in the below verses when he responds to the questions from the high priest. If Jesus wouldn’t be the Messiah, then a more truthful answer would be a “NO WAY! It would be blasphemy to call oneself for the son of God so of course I don’t do this!”, but that was not the response that Jesus gave, but rather ”I AM“. The high priest understood immediately that Jesus was guilty of blasphemy and rent his clothes, and the jews around him viewed him as guilty. Guilty of what? Blasphemy! To make oneself equal with God.

Mark 14:⁶⁰And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?⁶¹But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?⁶²And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.⁶³Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?⁶⁴Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Also Paul equals Christ with Jesus – the one who God rose up from the dead and placed on his right hand side – just like the prophesies say in Scriptures. King David described it as ”The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand”, despite that the Bible makes it clear that there is only ONE Lord and ONE God. The trinity solves this problem beautifully. Both God the Father and Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords.

Acts 2: ³¹He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.³²This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.³³Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.³⁴For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,³⁵Until I make thy foes thy footstool. John the Baptist calls Jesus for the lamb of God, and Andrew says to his brother that they have found the Messiah, and he leads Peter to Jesus.

We can read about the lamb of God in Revelations, and we can read about people who sing to the lamb and also call him Lord God almighty, and King of saints. They say that he alone is holy, for all nations shall come and worship him. But God the Father is of course HOLY too, and that means again that they share the same godhead. Each person in a godhead can be holy.

Rev. 15:²And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.³And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.⁴Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

The Scriptures speak about Jesus Christ

Peter speaks about Jesus Christ and says that peace is given by him who is Lord of all. Jesus is the one who God ordained to be the judge of the living and the dead, and Peter says that all the prophets witness about him and explains that whosoever believes in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts. 10:³⁶The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)—³⁹And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:—⁴²And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.⁴³To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

If we don’t believe in the one who the Father has sent, we are in big trouble. Jesus says that the Scriptures (that is the old testament) testify of him, and that Moses wrote about him. The jews who Jesus was talking to refused to believe that Jesus was sent by God and that means that they did not have his word abiding in them. If they truly believed Moses, they would also believe that Jesus is the one who he says he is. Even today there are many cults that refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah and coequal with God the Father.

John. 5:³⁷And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.³⁸And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.³⁹Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.-–⁴⁶For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.⁴⁷But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Paulus says that the law and the prophets are witnessing about a righteousness that can be given through faith in Jesus Christ.

Rom. 3:²¹But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;²²Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Jesus says here again that the prophets are writing about him, and he shows that the suffering that the Scriptures say awaits the Messiah is tied to him (Jesus) because he IS the promised Messiah, and he DID suffer for mankind on the cross. Moses, the prophets and psalms testify of Jesus, so when we read in these old books in the old testament we can see stories about Jesus Christ who – from their point of view – is yet to come in the future in the form of flesh. When we read the complete Bible today, including the new testament, this event has of course already happened.

Luke 24:¹³And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.¹⁴And they talked together of all these things which had happened.¹⁵And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.—²¹But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.—²⁴And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.²⁵Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:²⁶Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?²⁷And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.—⁴⁴And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.⁴⁵Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,⁴⁶And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:⁴⁷And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Jesus reads from the Scriptures in his home town, and says that what can be read in Isaiah 61 is about himself.

Luke 4:¹⁶And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.¹⁷And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,¹⁸The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,¹⁹To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.²⁰And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.²¹And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.²²And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;––⁸For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.—¹⁰I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.¹¹For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Paul explains that Jesus is the stumbling stone for the jews, or actually for anyone who refuses to believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah, God’s son and God with us. Many cults are interested in raising up stumblingstones for us, and they are eager to teach that Jesus is not God in flesh.

Rom. 9:³²Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;³³As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Isaiah 10:21-22)

Isaiah 8:¹³Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.¹⁴And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.¹⁵And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.¹⁶Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.¹⁷And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.¹⁸Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Isaiah 28:¹⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Paul reasoned with people and explained to them that the Scriptures speak about Jesus and that he must suffer as the Messiah, but also rise again. There is a division between those who believe in Jesus as the promised Messiah and those who don’t.

Acts. 17:²And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,³Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.⁴And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

Below we can read in multiple places that the Scriptures speak about Jesus Christ as the holy one – the Messiah. God gives Jesus Christ GLORY – despite that we can also read in the Scriptures that God doesn’t share his glory with anyone. (This means Jesus must be God.) Moses explained that God would send a prophet “like unto me” (as a leader for Israel and for all people who would unite with them) and that it’s of great importance that we listen to this prophet who is the Prince of life, and who has the power to bring either life or judgment. Since eternal life is given through faith and obedience in Jesus Christ (Hebr. 5:9), which includes the acceptance that Jesus has come in the flesh (1 John. 4:2), some religious cults do what they can to teach the opposite message – that Jesus is NOT the Messiah nor God in flesh.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right for American citizens to bear arms, and it was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights. Clearly there were other kind of weapons in use 1791 compared with today (2013). Can we be certain of that the founding fathers would have included also assault weapons in the Second Amendment if such weapons should exist during this time? We can’t be certain of that at all, and we must conclude that they wrote this amendment based on the situation that applied during a certain time over 220 years ago. We can only speculate how they would have phrased themselves today, if they would have written such a document.

Some suggest they also had cannons during this time, but even if they are powerful cannon and cannon balls are hard to maneuver, and nothing that you can carry around in your handbag to protect yourself with.

Americans have good reasons to be proud of their country, but when it comes to the subject of gun control the rest of the world is likely not impressed when an American says “There is no other country in the world that has something similar as the Second Amendment in their own constitution”. Just as though they expect Europeans to ENVY America’s huge homicide rate which is 20 times higher than other western countries (based on 100.000 inhabitants) – see this article. No, you can have your Second Amendment, but don’t bring it over here! We want to keep our low homicide rate, and we want to continue being free without having to fear criminal gangs with weapons and without risking to end up in areas with anarchy and mafia cartels. The good thing about having a gun control is that criminals have a hard time getting hold of guns, and that is the whole idea. That will lead to that citizens in their turn have no need to protect themselves, and that is the situation for most Europeans.

Sure, the Obama administration might do something very sinister to the American people in the future, and one can only wonder why he is buying and storing up so many weapons and ammunition – see this article . Obama said that as president he would create “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military, to advance his “objectives” for America. This astonishing announcement was made July 2, 2008, to an audience in Colorado Springs, but it was ignored by virtually the entire media – except WND. Nobody bothered to ask Obama specifically what he meant, or how he could possibly assemble and fund such a massive civilian army, or why – and he never spoke of it again.

So, unlike the situation in Europe, there are certainly reasons to fear what your president might do to you in the future, but if he manages to get an entire civilian army to do his errands, including the possibility to direct drones towards American people, then some private guns won’t do much good anyway. America needs to change its entire political system which opens up for corruption and a constant hunt for money to even think about winning a presidential race. A presidential candidate who isn’t rich (or with little support from rich people and organisations) can forget about becoming a president no matter how skilled he is to run the country. The American mainstream media isn’t doing its job to investigate in certain matters and instead they are keeping quiet or cover things up. That’s not the situation in every single country.

Guds hela vapenutrustning i Efesierbrevet – som vi gör väl i att ta på oss

Paulus ger oss bra tips om hur vi ska kunna stå starka och stå emot djävulens listiga angrepp, och det är vi själva som måste se till att ta på oss Guds hela vapenutrustning för att gå segrande ur varje strid. Gud tänker inte kasta över oss en vapenutrustning utan att vi själva är med på det, men han erbjuder oss däremot skyddsmaterialet som han hoppas att vi ska ta på oss för att kunna stå starka. Skälet till att vi behöver denna utrustning är att vi på det sättet kan stå emot (hålla stånd) på den onda dagen och behålla fältet. Väljer vi att leva våra kristna liv utan att ta på oss delar av utrustningen, och kanske bara utnyttjar den vid ett fåtal tillfällen, så får förstås Satan utökade chanser att anfalla oss och även vinna. Satan känner till våra akilleshälar och vet var han ska anfalla, så det är förstås olistigt att då välja att stå mer eller mindre oskyddade mot hans angrepp.

Ef. 6:¹⁰Till sist, bli starka i Herren och i hans väldiga kraft. ¹¹Tag på er hela Guds vapenrustning, så att ni kan stå emot djävulens listiga angrepp. ¹²Ty vi strider inte mot kött och blod utan mot furstar och väldigheter och världshärskare här i mörkret, mot ondskans andemakter i himlarna. ¹³Tag därför på er hela Guds vapenrustning, så att ni kan stå emot på den onda dagen och behålla fältet, sedan ni fullgjort allt.

Här är alla tipsen:

¹⁴Stå alltså fasta, spänn på er sanningen som BÄLTE kring era höfter

och kläd er i rättfärdighetens PANSAR

¹⁵och sätt som SKOR på era fötter den beredskap som fridens evangelium ger.

¹⁶Tag dessutom trons SKÖLD. Med den kan ni släcka den ondes alla brinnande pilar.

¹⁷Tag emot frälsningens HJÄLM

och Andens SVÄRD som är Guds ord.

1) Det är viktigt att vi håller oss till sanningen och att vi avhåller oss från att ljuga, sprida halvsanna rykten och förtal. Att med flit tillskriva människor åsikter de inte har är också att ljuga, så vi måste vara försiktiga med hur vi uttrycker oss för att vara goda mönster för Guds församling.

2) Vi måste leva RÄTTFÄRDIGT, vilket innebär att vi måste avhålla oss från synd. Det är de som GÖR rättfärdighet som får ärva Guds rike enligt Bibeln. Vi får inte Jesus rättfärdighet överförd till oss på minsta vis, så efter att vi blivit renade från vår synd i Jesu blod måste VI undvika att smutsa ner oss med ännu mer synd – vilket vi har kapacitet att göra med hjälp av den helige Anden.

3) Vi måste alltid vara beredda att sprida Guds ord, svara på frågor varför vi är troende och göra vad vi kan för att besvara människors funderingar och kommentarer som har med evangeliet att göra (egentligen apologetik). Vi kan vara människofiskare på en rad olika sätt och vi blir välsignade och uppmuntrade av att ta på oss “evangelium-skorna” och sprida den kristna tron till andra. Det är egentligen vad livet går ut på och det är så vi ska vandra. Vi kan lära oss att lyssna på Guds röst för att höra hur han vill leda oss och bättre kunna fungera som hans verktyg.

4) Vi kan lyfta berg med hjälp av tron. Om vi lyder de övriga punkterna kan det bli lättare för oss att tro på under och tecken, och vi kan se i Bibeln att människors TRO ofta är relaterad till om de blir friska från sjukdomar eller inte när andra lägger händerna på dem och ber för dem. Men alla blir förstås inte helade från sjukdomar alla gånger och hela tiden, för då skulle ju ingen någonsin dö. Vi kan få vår tro att växa genom att leva nära Gud, och vi kan riskera att bli ljumma i vår tro om vi inte tillbringar tid i bön och bibelläsning.

5) Hjälmen skyddar huvudet och hjärnan, och vi kan andligt talat skydda våra hjärnor från att bli exponerade av dåligt inflytande och frestelser. Vi kan undvika dåliga TV-program (och faktiskt undvika TV överhuvudtaget om det krävs), destruktiva sånger, spelhallar och andra miljöer och situationer som vi vet inte är upplyftande för våra själar utan snarare tvärt om. Ibland är det inte alltid vi som bestämmer våra miljöer, men för det mesta kan vi kontrollera vårt “intag” av influenser utifrån. Det vi ser och hör riskerar att bli det som vi uttrycker med vår mun, så det är lämpligt att kontrollera tankarna genom att inte släppa in vad som helst i våra hjärnor.

6) Jesus vann sin strid i öknen mot djävulen genom att bemöta hans snedvridna bibelkommenterer med Guds sanna ord. Satan är mycket duktig på att citera Bibeln, men om vi inte läser verserna i sitt rätta sammanhang så kan vi hamna i vilka läror som helst och tvingas att ändra även andra verser för att de ska passa ihop med den falska grund som vi själva kokat ihop. Djävulen gav till slut upp när han inte fick någon fångst trots flera försök att få Jesus på fall genom frestelser, och Satan lämnade sedan Jesus ifred. Vi måste träna oss själva att bli korrigerade av Guds ord, och att inte vara för stolta när vi upptäcker att vi kanske inte alltid greppat läget om bibeltexter, och då vara villiga att ändra kurs om bibelverser visar oss att vi haft fel. Villoläror undviks genom att vara trogna Guds ord i stället för att vika sig för majoriteten, och Satan får mindre yta att attackera om vi visar att vi hellre lyder Guds ord i stället för hans (Satans) tolkningar. Dessvärre finns det kristna som i alla tider visat en ovilja att ändra sig om de blivit överbevisade av Guds ord i Bibeln, och föredrar i stället att tro på människotraditioner, “den stora strömmen” eller lärda människor som de är imponerade utav.

Sist men inte minst så rekommenderar Paulus oss att göra allt detta under STÄNDIG ÅKALLAN OCH BÖN. Vi ska alltid be i Anden, vaka och hålla ut i bön för alla de heliga – som ju sprider Guds ord till vilsna hjärtan. Det är även en bra väg till personlig tillfredsställelse.

¹⁸Gör detta under ständig åkallan och bön och bed alltid i Anden. VAKA därför och håll ut i bön för alla de heliga. ¹⁹Bed också för mig, att ordet ges åt mig när jag öppnar min mun, så att jag frimodigt gör evangeliets hemlighet känd.²⁰För dess skull är jag ett sändebud i bojor. Bed att jag predikar det så öppet och fritt som jag bör.

Låt ingen lura dig med tanken att de andliga gåvorna har upphört och inte längre gäller. Det är precis vad Satan vill att vi ska tro så att han kan hindra oss från att använda de andliga gåvor som Gud har gett oss.

Mjölken hos korinthierna

Om Paulus inleder ett brev eller ett kapitel med att adressera människor som BRÖDER, borde detta inte innebära att han samtalar med andligt levande och frälsta människor? Jo visserligen, men bland dessa bröder så kan det ändå finns människor som hamnat snett, som ar mer att lära eller som helt enkelt inte är kristna överhuvudtaget pga synd. I 1 Kor. 5 så kan vi läsa just om ett sådant fall – om en man som var mitt i den kristna församlingen i Korinth men som var ond och syndade grovt genom leva tillsammans med sin fars hustru. Paulus gjorde det klart att den mannen inte hade någonting i denna församlingen att göra och måste avlägsnas från dem och lämnas till Satan med hopp om att han en dag skulle återvända till Gud, vilket du kan se i detta inlägg. Vilken pastor som helst kan vända sig till sin församling och säga “bröder” även om det förhåller sig så att någon eller några av dem faktiskt inte lever som de ska. Om en pastor kallar sin församling bröder och systrar så betyder det inte att pastorn godkänner och accepterar samtligas livsstilar eller faktiskt inte ens ser var och en som en sann kristen bror eller syster om de lever i oomvänd synd (vilket man inte alltid vet). På samma sätt är det med Paulus. Bara för att han kallar en grupp för bröder så är det alltså ingen garanti för att han stödjer allt det som de kan tänkas syssla med och inte heller att de kommer fortsätta att vara bröder även i framtiden även om de lever i rebelliskhet mot Gud.

1 Kor. 3:1 BRÖDER, själv kunde jag inte tala till er som till andliga människor utan som till köttsliga människor, spädbarn i Kristus. ²MJÖLK gav jag er att dricka. Fast föda fick ni inte. Den tålde ni ännu inte, och det gör ni inte nu heller,³eftersom ni fortfarande är köttsliga. Så länge det råder avund och strid bland er, är ni då inte köttsliga och lever som alla andra?

Ingenstans här säger Paulus att köttsliga människor ändå är kristna. Paulus verkar uppleva det ibland som att han måste tala till dessa korinthier ungefär som när han talar till en person som blev frälst alldeles nyss och som därför måste lära sig från grunden hur man bör leva som en kristen. En nyfrälst person måste precis som ett spädbarn börja med mjölk innan hon går över till fast föda, men om personen aldrig går över till fast föda är det något som är fel. (Skulle inte vem som helst bli orolig om ett spädbarn aldrig visade intresse för fast föda utan bara ville fortsätta att dricka mjölk år efter år?) Då visar ju personen att hon inte har något intresse av att gå vidare, utan kanske försöker hitta ursäkter för att få stanna på det enkla initiala stadiet utan att ta på sig mer ansvar och tid för att bli en sann lärljunge som sprider Guds ord och hjälper andra. Paulus skulle däremot inte kräva att en nyfrälst person som tidigare inte känt Jesus, måste börja sprida Guds ord och undervisa andra samma dag som hon själv blivit frälst. Det krävs ingen bibelskola för att kunna sprida Guds ord men en viss mån av undervisning måste en person ändå ha, och möjlighet måste ges så att personen själv kan läsa mer i skriften om vem Jesus är, och hur man bör behandla andra. Alltså ett “mjölk-stadium”. För en del kan det vara ett enormt stort steg att ens komma till detta stadiet om de kommer från verkligt dystra bakgrunder med en hård livsstil, och det kanske krävs en lång period av mjölk innan man kan stå på egna ben och undervisa andra.

I 1 Kor. 3 så VARNAR Paulus korinthierna eftersom de måste ta sig i akt för att inte vara avundsjuka på varandra och starta ständiga strider, för om de lever på det sättet så menar Paulus att de lever som alla andra och alltså är KÖTTSLIGA. Vilken bild ger oss Paulus om en som är köttslig?

Rom. 8:⁷Köttets sinne är fiendskap mot Gud. Det underordnar sig inte Guds lag och kan det inte heller. ¹³Om ni lever efter köttet kommer ni att DÖ. Men om ni genom Anden dödar kroppens gärningar skall ni LEVA.

Gal. 5:¹⁶Vad jag vill säga är detta: vandra i Anden, så kommer ni inte att göra vad köttet begär. ¹⁷Ty köttet söker det som är emot Anden och Anden söker det som är emot köttet. De två strider mot varandra för att hindra er att göra det ni vill. ¹⁸Men om ni leds av Anden, står ni inte under lagen. ¹⁹Köttets gärningar är uppenbara: de är otukt, orenhet, lösaktighet, ²⁰avgudadyrkan, svartkonst, fiendskap, kiv, avund, vredesutbrott, gräl, splittringar, villoläror,²¹illvilja, fylleri, utsvävningar och annat sådant. Jag säger er i förväg vad jag redan har sagt: de som lever så skall inte ärva Guds rike.

Galaterbrevet 6:8 Den som sår i sitt kötts åker skall av köttet skörda UNDERGÅNG, men den som sår i Andens åker skall av Anden skörda evigt LIV.

Även Petrus menar att vi riskerar våra själar om vi lever efter köttet:

1 Petrusbrevet 2:11 Mina älskade, jag uppmanar er som främlingar och gäster att hålla er borta från de köttsliga begären som för krig mot själen.

Paulus fortsätter samma kapitel (1 Kor 3) med att ge ytterligare en varning där han visserligen menar att dessa korintiska bröder är Guds tempel (alltså om de lever som de ska och är i Jesus Kristus) MEN att de ändå kan gå förlorade om de skulle fördärva detta tempel. Alla kristna har den helige Ande och är alltså Guds tempel, men detta är ingen garanti för att vi alltid kommer att välja den väg som den helige Ande vill leda oss på och därför är den helige Andes närvaro heller ingen garanti för att vi kommer att ärva Guds rike. Rättare sagt så har vi en garanti för att vi kristna är arvingar med en plats i Guds rike MEN garantisedlar kan kastas bort och även rivas sönder. Löftet är att vi kommer att ärva riket om vi håller ut till slutet och det är en helt fantastisk sanning som vi alla erbjuds! Hjälpen att leva rätt kommer från den helige Anden:

1 Kor. 3:¹⁶Vet ni inte att ni är ett Guds tempel och att Guds Ande bor i er? ¹⁷Om någon fördärvar Guds tempel, skall Gud fördärva honom. Ty Guds tempel är heligt, och det templet är ni.¹⁸Bedra inte er själva. Om någon bland er tycker att han är vis i den här världen, måste han bli en dåre för att bli vis.

Mjölken hos hebreerna

Paulus klagar även i Hebreerbrevet på att församlingsmedlemmar blivit “tröga att lyssna“. Det behöver förstås inte betyda att samtliga av de som han skrev till var skyldiga till detta, men det var ändå ett allmänt problem. Paulus menar att de BORDE för länge sedan ha tagit sig ur mjölkstadiet för att själva bli lärare, men förmodligen är det slapphet och ljumhet som har gjort att de dittills aldrig intresserat sig för att gå vidare. Kanske ville de leva kvar med en fot i världen och fortsätta att låtsas att de är hjälplösa nyfrälsta som behöver andra som leder dem vid handen, men vi kristna måste själva ta vårt ansvar och någon gång ta oss vidare för att kunna bli de som Jesus tänkt att vi ska bli. Vi kan visserligen inte fungera som människofiskare om vi inte fått evangeliet riktigt klart för oss, men då måste vi som sagt se till att vi lär oss så pass mycket att vi kan gå vidare från inledningsfasen som inte är tänkt att vara för evigt utan är en temporär fas. Vi kan aldrig bli fungerande arbetare om vi lever kvar i mjölkstadiet och visar ointresse för att ta oss vidare.

Hebr.5:¹⁰och han blev av Gud kallad överstepräst, en sådan präst som Melkisedek.¹¹Om detta har vi mycket att säga som är svårt att förklara, eftersom ni har blivit så tröga att lyssna. ¹²Ty fast ni för länge sedan borde ha varit lärare, behöver ni någon som undervisar er igen i de första grunderna av Guds ord. Ni behöver MJÖLK, inte fast föda. ¹³Ingen som lever av mjölk är mogen för en undervisning om rättfärdighet. Han är ännu ett barn. ¹⁴Den fasta födan är till för vuxna, för dem som genom övning har fått sinnet skärpt till att skilja mellan gott och ont.

Paulus fortsätter med en varning att det finns kristna som faktiskt tagit del av den helige Ande och smakat på den himmelska gåvan men som ändå kan avfalla. Läs mer om detta i detta inlägg.

Hebr. 6:1 ¹Låt oss därför lämna bakom oss de första grunderna i Kristi lära och föras till fullkomlighet. Låt oss inte på nytt lägga grunden med omvändelse från döda gärningar och tro på Gud, ²med undervisning om reningar och handpåläggning, om de dödas uppståndelse och en evig dom. — ⁴Ty de som en gång tagit emot ljuset och smakat den himmelska gåvan, fått del av den helige Ande ⁵och smakat det goda Gudsordet och den kommande världens krafter ⁶men sedan avfallit, dem är det omöjligt att föra till ny omvändelse, eftersom de själva på nytt korsfäster Guds Son och öppet hånar honom.—¹¹Men vi önskar att var och en av er skall visa samma iver att bevara full visshet i hoppet ända till slutet, ¹²så att ni inte blir tröga utan följer dem som genom tro och uthållighet får det utlovade arvet.

Petrus säger att vi måste längta efter “den andliga mjölken” för att växa upp till frälsning.

1 Petrus. 2:¹Lägg därför bort allt slags ondska, falskhet och hyckleri, avund och förtal.²Längta som nyfödda barn efter den rena andliga mjölken, så att ni genom den växer upp till frälsning, ³då ni nu har smakat att Herren är god.
